I hope it’s still a Chicago thing when he defends Chicago’s finest tonight, Derek Rose.

Good thing he doesn't have to face the embarrassment of defending Harden ;)

Amusingly you could twist what he is saying to mean he's calling Harden a punk!

Naw, Harden's not from Chicago so the punk policy doesn't apply to him

We've had some bad defensive possessions in the last couple of games where Shumpert went with his man and everyone else expected a switch.

I’d integrate him into switching. A necessity when we see Steph and Klay.

Tucker has been switching less recently too, right? Or is it just me. He's fighting through screens (as if he wasn't already exerting enough effort - yikes).

Him and Bev would have been a perfect combo from the bench .

morale of the story here is that Shump has made Beverley obsolete. The numbers are clear.

    From the article:

Of the four players Shumpert guarded on 85 or more possessions this season, he held Jimmy Butler to seven points per game, Tobias Harris to nine, DeMar DeRozan to 14.5 and Kevin Durant to 14.5.

Iman is a bigger and smarter Pat Beverley, @PatBev :)

"The sophistication of modern basketball — everything the Rockets revere — has no place in Oak Park, Ill., where Shumpert grew up. He comes from the Chicago heritage of hoopers. To them, basketball is a test of heart and willpower more than skill and shooting. "

I guess this explains Shumpert's shooting.

    I like the swagger.

Hope the shot starts falling too.
