ClutchFans Game Thread: Thunder @ Rockets 2/9/2019

Westbrick did his best to hand the game to us.

Too many in-the-bag wins given away this year. We're 32-22 and should be at least 38-16. Ugh.

 

All Ima say is there was an obvious difference on defensive effort between halves for us .

Let's hope we can find better focus as the season goes on .

CP3 and James are gonna have to lead by example and keep guys accountable .

Last years team would have come out and put our foot on their throats to start the second .

We did great by getting ourselves in that situation ... just gonna keep focus

 

Paul George deserves this win. Big time plays, but the biggest play was on the Harden three at the end when he fought through the screens and refused to switch until there were 5 seconds left on the shot clock. That forced Harden to throw up a deep three with a hurt shooting shoulder.

 

He did what he was told. He was told to get below the line. Secondary was improve the team. This is our product now. Just like other Feetita products. Flashy but low quality. Contenders we are not.

 

Failed to execute down the stretch once again. Harden iso after iso after iso. It's just getting ridiculous.

Two of our final possessions and CP is holding the ball for the majority or entire possession. Inexcusable. Ball must be in Harden’s hands in those kind of close-game situations.

 

Embarrasing .lost for words at how inept that crap was. Eric Gordon, Gerald Green and Faried missing shots around the rim were terrible in the second half.Gordon is so bi polar it’s infuriating . First half he was moving well and hotting shots and in the second half he was ..

Harden got his shoulder dinged in the late stages of the second quarter and was never the same. Really thought Paul would step up with Harden and bad shoulder but it seeems he still needs more time

 

I'm sorry, but when the game is close. Give the damn ball to CP3. I can't stand watching us settle for threes.

 

Chris Paul is WASHED UP

 

Chris Paul was a +10, meaning the Rockets were a -15 with him off the court. He played 35 minutes and needed to play more apparently

 

We almost beat the Thunder without our starting center and an injured harden. Keep calm, we are stronger than we look.

 

Coaches aren't responsible for playing with energy. This is on our leaders...Harden and Paul for not being vocal in the huddle during the 3rd quarter and recognizing they were being outhustled BADLY.

 

Bro this loss is 100% on MDA he is just relying on Harden and Cp3 to do everything. How about run some plays instead of having Harden and Cp3 iso everything? How about calling a timeout to let everybody clear their heads when OKc started coming back?

Thats what a coach is supppsed to be there for, he is supposed to keep a clear head and get everybody in line. MDA acted like he was one of the fans and had a front court seat, just watched the team collapse wtf.

 

not the worst loss of the season but I was not buying the "we are back talk" back to the drawing board

 

All that crap I talked about Westbrick, and the Rockets go and make him the hero.

Russ’s “defense” on that last Harden 3 was much more of a foul than the one they called on Harden for Paul George’s floppy 3.... smh

 

Am I surprised we threw a 26 point lead? No. We've been doing it all season.

That layup from Westbrook was the worst piece of defending all game. We literally let him run right to the basket.

laughing so hard cuz i called this in the first half and shump was terrible all night. He's not going to get much playing time under D'antoni with thew ay he bricks open 3s. Might as well been a poor man's tony allen out there.
