If we signed DJ and didn't move Capela, we end up burying Faried on the bench again - the exact reason he agreed to the buyout was to go somewhere that would provide him minutes and a role.
Clint could still be out for another month. There would be room for Faried in the rotation until then. What are we supposed to do anyway, not sign DJ?

But we wouldn't be able to afford both CC and DJ. We need to leverage CC's sweet contract + Chriss + Knight to get us a quality wing. CP3's contract + Harden's contract + resigning DJ/Faried is going to cost us BIG next season. Faried's on a 1-yr vet min and DJ will be too. Going to be INTERESTING whatever we do next!
I think Capela is the only untouchable player other than Harden, just because of Harden. They are homies.
We are all in with the Paul extension. Replacing Capela with DJ doesn’t really shorten the window. Capela is a huge trade chip if you can send him and picks for a wing like Butler. Adding DJ on a buyout could turn everything around in a hurry.
I say we keep all 3. (Capela Jordan Faried) Never know when injuries apply. Plus some teams we will want to stay small against where Faried will be valuable.

If we get DJ hope it’s fast then put Capela on the block. At least just to see what we can get. I like what he brings but DJ brings the same, Faried can handle 15mins behind him. This is what you have to do sometimes he’s our only trade piece. This is HARDENS PRIME.
