However, O'Reilly does make a good point about her opposition to due process during the Kavanaugh hearings.

That is exactly what they want. But without the Obama/Holder/Lynch DOJ rubberstamping immunity agreements for all of the Obama administration people implicated by the publicly available evidence, thereby obstructing the justice process, including the possibility if the trial you mentioned.

All these new announcements are underwhelming.

I hope it’s Gabbard. If not her, Biden is a solid choice.

It's interesting (although probably not surprising) that all (or most) of the Dem candidates thus far are women: Harris, Gillebrand, Warren.

(I think maybe that dude from SA has announced.)

Can the Dems nominate any male from their party? Will they? What does that say about the Democratic party? (Maybe it's as simple as female Dems have the energy and desire to run.)

Will we have another Trump vs female Dem candidate in 2020? Won't that be fun. :D

There are 10 as of right now, with an additional 2 (Warren and Gillibrand) still in the "Formed exploratory committee but has not officially declared their candidacy" stage, and none of those are Biden, O'Rourke, or Sanders.

    "rubberstamping immunity agreements"

Where do you people come up with this nonsense.

As I have said to Bobby's dumbass a thousand times, the statute of limitations has not expired, the Republican controlled DOJ could indict her tomorrow.

Just a grammar note: I'm pretty sure that should be two words, in the context of this sentence structure. You're welcome. :D

does it seem like people are declaring earlier than normal? it did to me.

Andrew Yang and a few others have been running for over a year, but looking at the more serious candidates it'll be 663 days from when tulsi announced (Jan. 11) to election day (Nov. 3, 2020)

so i looked in to it.

approximate number of candidates and when the first candidate officially declared:

    November 8, 2016
    2016 R: 17 candidates starting March 23, 2015 (597 days from election day)
    2016 D: 6 candidates starting April 12, 2015 (576 days from election day)

    November 6, 2012
    2012 R: 13 candidates starting April 21, 2011 (566 days from election day)

    November 4, 2008
    2008 R: 12 candidates starting November 13, 2006 (722 days from election day)
    2008 D: 8 candidates starting April 17, 2006 (933 days from election day)

    November 2, 2004
    2004 D: 10 candidates starting May 31, 2002 (887 days from election day)

    November 7, 2000
    2000 R: 13 candidates starting March 9, 1999 (610 days from election day)
    2000 D: 3 candidates starting June 16, 1999 (511 days from election day)

My early projected winner of the Democrat's political cage match, Kamala Harris, is now leading the field for the Democrats according to the Daily Kos second straw poll. In the first Daily Kos straw poll, Elizabeth Warren, was leading.

Kamala Harris leads 2020 Dem field in second Daily Kos straw poll

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) jumped into the lead in progressive news website Daily Kos’s straw poll, days after announcing that she’d run for president in 2020.

According to Daily Kos’s second straw poll of 28,000 members, Harris is the new front-runner, with 27 percent. Harris announced her candidacy on Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, during an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America." Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) came in second place with 18 percent, while former Vice President Joe Biden garnered 13 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) scored 13 percent.

In Daily Kos's first straw poll two weeks, Warren, who was the first major Democratic candidate to jump into the race, was in the lead. Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) came in second, with 15 percent, and Harris and Biden were close behind, tied with 14 percent each. In Tuesday’s straw poll, O’Rourke dropped down to fifth place, with 8 percent of support.

There are a lot of these candidates that I would be delighted to see win and face off against Donald Trump in the general election. This one more than any other would put the Democrat left's "Identity politics" and "Political correctness" agenda - which truly is the central pillar of their political values and priorities these days, not only for their party, but by dammit, for everyone in our country, whether you like it or not - to the test.

And of course she is also secondarily supportive of the socialist left economic agenda popularized by Bernie Sanders.

So the Democrat field starts to take shape in earnest, with Kamala Harris apparently in the lead.
