You guys were hyping yourselves after every unsustainable win. Here's the thing. Most of those games were at home, and it required Harden to play out of his mind like he's the second coming of Michael Jordan. MDA is absolutely useless. I really want him gone. Bzdelik is an absolute fraud. The defense was just as good, if not better, in that stretch right before he got back. Otherwise, it just stayed the same at 24th. The Rockets are garbage on the road. I don't give a **** about that Warriors win. I really don't. I'd take wins over all these garbage teams than that one meaningless regular season win. We just look like last year's OKC. I don't care who's missing. They're all injury-prone bums, and chances are that they're going to get injured against at some terrible time. That's just the pattern, so we can't exactly keep hoping for the Rockets to some day get fully healthy. Anyway, the reason they're mediocre is because ultimately they're pretty good at home (don't care how good they are), but they're mediocre to garbage on the road. Most of the truly elite teams can win on the road. The Rockets just can't. Their offense looks different, which exposes their terrible defense even more (since the offense can't save them this time). So yes, they just might beat the Grizzlies (even blow them out), but it'll be at home and it won't mean absolutely anything because they'll still suck on the road. Finally, F*** you Chris Paul for trapping the Rockets into a 4-year window with your old-man, injury-prone ass. The minute his trade value builds up, please trade his ass. This team just wins based off of unsustainable "things," for a 5-game stretch and then just digs themselves in the hole again. Anything other than a top 1 seed is a waste for this team. I'd definitely think it'd be more productive to tank for a nice pick (and thus a good trade asset for next season), but I know I'd sound crazy for that and it's already too late for that. Meaningless season.
Harden shooting 6/9 from 3 isn't the norm either. Losing to garbage teams looks like quite the norm for this Rockets team.
They're not mediocre.... we're just very average without Paul and Gordon. The problem I have is, Paul and Gordon haven't played well for most of the season, so I wouldn't even consider us a top 4 team even when they're back. We literally have one of the worst benches in the league.... and it shows when Harden has bad shooting nights.
We are keep losing to the bottom feeders on the road, I don't buy this is totally effort issue. There must be deeper issues.
Really Paul and Gordon wont make us top 4, we took the Bucks to the wire(and should have won) and These guys wont do that for us...cmon man.
OKC lost to the Bulls, Denver just lost to the Suns, Warriors lost a Raptors without Kawhi, it happens.
