The fumble recovery was the possession before the timeouts, why does that matter at all? We were down 6 with 5 minutes to go, there was no reason to use timeouts there, it basically just guaranteed that philly would get the ball back. Don’t use any timeouts there and Philly would have had less than two minutes. It could have still played out the same way, but those timeouts were completely unnecessary.
At this point they must beat the Jags at home, should be no problem but you never know. Lose and no playoffs so can happen. Assuming they win, they play at home against Colts and then lose again. That is OK since 0 3 start there was no hope for playoffs. Fact that they make it is sorta victory. With that terrible line and injured lousy DB, they need to hit it big in draft and free agency and then they can turn things around. Protect DW and stop passes and maybe next year....
Depends on who is healthy and how conservative BOB decides to be. Right now we're missing almost our entire secondary and #2 WR
500 yards passing is like the Rockets getting 26 3pt FGs. Imagine if the Eagles didn't turn the ball over 3 times, they would have 600 yards passing. We don't deserve to win. BOB is going to surprise us next game.
can someone tell me what this means if we lose next week and Titans and/or Colts win? who wins tie-breaker for division title?
Only thing they need is ol..everything else watson is so good he will make up. But watch the draft something dumb every pick should be oline. Dw4 will win u a ship if u protect him. 100 believe tjat its simple
I suppose the optimist in me says that as long as we have #4, whether we're at home or on the road shouldn't matter. But **** that game was unsatisfying.
Jags at home won't be a cakewalk, it being a divisional rival and all... Same for the Pats and Jets, Jets playing better, they are at home too. Texans need Miller back...badly. Blue just doesn't cut it as a primary back. Next year in the draft they need corners. JJo isn't going to hold up much longer and needs to be replaced basically.
I mean Watson still had a great game and rarely turns the ball over. Long term I can see this working for Watson as he’s definitely learning about efficiency and ball control. But when you play with fire as much as Billy does ... by basically keeping the game close because they refuse to open the offense to try and get a bit lead.... eventually you’ll get burned. Been saying this every week. The playoffs are against other good teams. Ball control conservative is fine if they have a great o line or GREAT defense. They have neither.
Maybe I'm miss remembering, but watching the game, I felt like BOB was forced to use his timeouts because the game was essentially over. I didn't feel like he did a poor job. The last 6 minutes of this game was a blur.
Thanks to the defense. We have invested to much into the defense for it to fold almost all the time when needing a big stop. It’s ridiculous.
