I'd trade MCW for Jeremy Lin... Wouldn't want to give up a pick for a 30 year old, though. However, it can't be denied that he's doing alright this season, and playing better than Knight and MCW, which isn't really saying much but still. And I definitely don't welcome more toxicity on Clutchfans
As much as I dislike Lin's game, this trade actually makes sense, especially because of the addition of Kieff. I think Dedmon would really help Washington, who are still holding out hopes to make noise this year, so I can see them making the swap. Now would Atlanta take Knight's extra year just to get a 1st out of this deal?
I think absolutely they would. I think if we are being even more "flexible minded" you could swap nene for chriss in the trade to add even more flexibility. I dont LOVE it but I'd take it
Yeah, I don't love it either, but it does make sense. I personally would not let Nene go, but it's not my money and our owner does seem to be concerned about his finances, so it is reasonable to think that that scenario is on the table as well. Now Jeremy Lin...this might be a perfect situation for his game. He needs the ball in his hands, so in those instances when both Harden and Gordon are resting, MDA can just let Lin do his thing, with essentially a bunch of scrubs. This might be ok as a regular season band aid and hopefully get CP3 back strong for the playoffs. But I'm just skeptical, because Lin is just not a winning player, so I'm not sure if putting him in that role will help the team win.
His stats for this season don't look so bad. I vote Yes as a backup PG. http://www.espn.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/4299/jeremy-lin
You're totally misinterpreting what I'm saying, chief. I'm saying that the Rockets have been rumored in the last 24 hours to be seeking to get rid of Knight's contract and are shopping a 1st rounder to make it happen. They're not trading a first rounder for Jeremy Lin. They're trading a first rounder to get rid of Knight's contract. But if you're giving up a 1st rounder already, you might as well get a player in return that can add to the rotation.
I don't know which is worse, playing for the 9th seed or suffering LOFs ramblings about how Lin is a superstar.
We're basically screwed because our cheap-ass owner is more worried about saving money than making the team better. You would think we would prize our first-round picks a little more now, but Fertitta...
