This game is for Texan's legitimacy. Imagine the storylines? First Houston pro football team ever to beat the Eagles. Clinch division. Knock out last year's Super Bowl Champs. On the other hand, if they lose, fans will be in full blown hysteria mode. Same ole Texans. Team Disappointment. Might not even make the playoffs. Wild Card match up with the Colts, etc. etc. Big game? Perhaps the biggest to date. This is essentially a playoff game.
Last weeks game had the same effect if we would have ended up losing. People would have been saying the exact thing your saying.
The Irony: The Texans needed the Cowboys help last week (to eliminate the Colts) and didn't get it. Now the Cowboys need the Texans' help (to eliminate the Eagles).
As much as I never want to advocate helping any team from southern oklahoma...especially when it comes to keeping a lead over the team of my birth city...I will still root for the Texans to win. But it won't kill me if they don't.
Anybody else wondering how Foreman has looked in practices? It is like he is a "stealth" player. Silence, nothing.
