Wasn't sure if I should take a Twitter feed called Incarcerated Bob seriously. Then I pulled it up and saw an Innes take retweet and knew that I shouldn't.

If my memory serves, he got a couple of things right giving him a following and has put out garbage since.

If Tucker is being included, it makes sense. Marlins have been holding out for Tucker since last offseason. As long as we don’t give them anything else of significance, I’m game. I just don’t see Tucker having value this year (or next) with the direction we are headed.

If the Astros trade Tucker for Realmuto, I’d hope they’d re-sign Kid Keuchy. Would hate seeing the haul shipped out for a Kluber w/ no Tucker in the deal.

In the Realmuto thread, poster is saying its Tuck, JB and a low level guy. That's pretty steep price.

He said that was a previous offer. No source sited or date of offer rejected.

He was, IIRC, in front of the Goldschmidt-to-St. Louis move so he has at least *some* credibility.

Wasn't counting on a lot from Smith, but he was pretty good for most of last season.

With McHugh and Peacock likely being needed for more innings, this isn't an insignificant loss. Likley means Harris is assured of coming back.

My gut feeling is that he takes information that is publicly available, and puts out his assumptions based on that as if they were coming from sources.

I have Chris Broussard level of faith in him.

Harris was already assured of coming back.

I wonder if this means the Astros look to add a bullpen arm or if they go with someone like Deetz

I wonder if they will be able to recoup any of Smith’s salary via insurance claim. Would free up another $5M. Losing Smith isn’t a good thing but of the 8 guys projected in Houston’s bullpen, he’s probably the one they could most afford to lose.

I'm pretty sure insurance only pays out if a guy is almost physically incapable of ever playing baseball again. Smith should be available at some point this season.

Astros prez/GM Jeff Luhnow said they'll look internally to fill Joe Smith's role in the 'pen. "Losing Joe is a blow, but I don't think it requires us to go out and get another late inning reliever. We're going to have enough good arms in the bullpen to do what we need to do."

Luhnow pointed to several pitchers who are candidates for starting roles but also pitch out of the 'pen as candidates to fill relief roles -- Valdez, Perez, James, Rogelio Armenteros, etc. "We have a lot of guys that factor into that mix."

Luhnow is on the lookout for pitching, as previously reported, but he is more focused on starting pitching than relief. I wouldn't expect them to be players in the sweepstakes for Andrew Miller, Craig Kimbrel, Adam Ottavino, etc.

Angels signed Trevor Cahill. He was someone I thought the Astros might be interested in if they weren't willing/able to make a bigger move.
