We need to start Eric Gordon.. Ennis is good defensively but he does not stretch the floor like ariza and ryno used to, Eric plays good enough defence to offset what Ennis brings in the starting unit. I think this can be a short term solution (not to mention, can increase his trade value) while we look for trades eg Kevin love or whoever. What do yall think? It’s worth a shot, there is literally nothing to lose.
I'll start the car to drive Gordon to the airport to catch a flight to whatever city he's traded to. I'll keep the engine running.
Ennis is a bench player. JH isn't much of a defender, but he can go up against bigger SF's to some extent. EG can start along with CP3 in the backcourt. EG is a slightly better defender than Harden. He is underrated despite giving up height and length. There is nothing to lose right now by making this change.
They should bench Chris Paul if we're being honest. He gets locked up by most starting point guards these days. Why not have Harden at PG and Gordon at SG and have aggressive CP3 off the bench?
just start cutting on unforced turnovers and stop with redundant bounce passes that achieve nothing even if they succeed in going through forest of legs and hands, 4 possessions in a row
To be honest, since we switching everything we are playing positionless basketball. Meaning yes James harden can theoretically play the 3 with his size and frame however he can still handle the rock..with Gordon out there, he can spread the floor and give harden and cp3 more space to operate early in the game so we can get a good flow at the beginning of games, which naturally gives us more confidence on defense. I mean come on, with the way we have been playing we need to at least look at changing the starting unit! This could be it.
Moving the problem around. Gordon is already playing starter minutes and Ennis is not. Won't make a difference. The only way you get a different outcome is if people who weren't playing start playing, and people who are playing play less. The problem with THAT idea is the people who are not playing are barely NBA players.
Yeah start him so he can kill whatever trade value he has left. They should trade Gordon before sunrise
Honestly, having the 5 best players one the floor getting us off to a good start would be nice. We should’ve kept Carmelo Anthony because this would’ve been easier. Harden can play the three, Sure he has a better advantage against smaller two guards, but he is faster than most threes. It is easier to get switches on screens when you are screening bigger players.
