Unless Tilman is willing and able to devote resources to this team, I am a Zionist and Bol-iever. Trade CP, Harden, Gordon and PJ for picks, rebuild around youth.

 

He's a business man and that would kill Rockets value. So he aint gonna do it this soon.

I would not say full tank job mainly because this season they are half assing, half ass tank job.

 

There's no other option but to trade CP3, Harden, Capela, and go full rebuild.

The hard truth is how are we going to get a superstar with the assets we have? I just don't see it and what we need is another superstar.

I think Morey even knows this, that's why we were ready to offer 4 draft picks for Butler. We just don't have the pieces to even get a superstar unless they really REALLY want to play here for some reason.

Our core is busted because of CP3s contract and we could really really use a good player on a rookie contract right about now.

 

They're well on their way at this point. Should be able to get a decent player at the 15th pick.

 

They should just let the bottom fall out. CP3 misses any more games that's going to happen anyways. Start 'resting' Harden too and they can get a pretty terrible record.

If Harden and CP3 don't play this is the worst team in the NBA. Let Capela play for the experience, call up Zhou. Just sacrifice the season. Whatever. Astros will be back by the end of the NBA season and the Texans are having a pretty good year so....whatever.

 

I think this is a perfect time to sign Terrence Jones and watch Clutchfans implode even faster.

 

Yeah, we just don't have the assets unless we want to move part of the core (Capela and Gordon).

I still remember how in 2015/16 we screwed ourselves cause Les wanted to make the playoffs instead of going into the lottery, we potentially lost a LeVert/Taurean Prince there (which could've been also traded for Butler now) just to get our ass kicked in the first round by the Warriors, that team was completely broken and we literally did what was worse for the franchise just for the sake of saying "we still made the playoffs".

Now, i don't believe we should tank, not as today at least, i still believe we can get back on track. But, if for whatever reason, this is going to be 2015/16 again in terms of results, we should really do the smart thing for once, just like the Grizzlies did, get out of the tax (at least something i can see Tilman being on board with), hit the lottery and get some free talent/assets.
