We are all paying far more than we did per night (estimates are like 500$ to $700 per night...per child) with the advent of child separation and the accompanying concentration camps than we ever did previously. This money is being robbed from disaster relief that I paid for from DHS. This is true, but non-nationals entering or attempting to enter the United States at any time or place which has not been designated by an immigration officer IS illegal and that's what they were doing that led up to the picture being taken. It's fine to have compassion for these people, it's not really fine to ignore illegal behavior. If they are legitimate asylum seekers, I hope it is granted, if they are not legitimate asylum seekers and are merely economic migrants, I hope that their request is denied and they are allowed to stay in Mexico.
