Boston does not look like a good team. They just got destroyed by the 4-14 knicks. They definitely don’t resemble the promising young team from last year. They have to consider a shake up. Expectations were sky high entering the season for that squad. Not sure anyone would even take a chance on Hayward considering his injury and contract. Jaylen brown? No idea. Just think it’s interesting to see how much they are struggling considering the expectations they have. It’ll be even more interesting to see how/if they can fix it. A few teams could be shaking things up soon. Maybe Morey can poach one of these struggling teams for someone who can help. I’m sure he has his eyes on all this...
You could expect this to happened since Gordon Hayward would come back and take time away from some of the young guys.
Celtics losing at home against the Knicks, what a time to be alive...i expect something to come out after this loss, like issues in the lockeroom etc...time for a players only meeting in Boston
Why is Boston so mediocre this season? Is it a chemistry issue? Would they suddenly start playing better if Hayward were to come down with the same "illness" that befell Melo?
The only positive i can see is it should stop Bill Simmons fapping all over them for a few weeks and i generally enjoy his work on his podcasts but his over infatuation with the Celts makes it tough listening at times
Their biggest problem is lack of playmaking. Kyrie and Rozier aren't that great at creating for others and they don't have playmakers at other positions to make up for it.
You could say the same thing about the Rockets as well. 6 games ago some Rockets fans were calling for D'Antoni's head as well. They didn't have a good start either, it is a long season and this season looks different for sure. Look at the Warriors, they do not look the same. The Lakers are considered underachievers with LeBron James, the only elite team performing close to expectations from the beginning of the season until now is Toronto. Ainge and Boston are probably top 3 best front offices in the league, you don't hit the panic button and make a high risk move now. That is why Morey stayed firm with Minny.
That's true. I would expect them to be better than they showed so far but I still think lack of playmaking will hurt them overall in the playoffs
