To justify buying Ariza out, but the Suns would pretty much have to ignore every reason they had for signing him in the first place. Makes no sense whatsoever, but CFers seem convinced it's a done deal.

    The argument goes like this:
    1) They have no intention of keeping him beyond this year (not a given)
    2) The GM who signed him has been fired
    3) His playing time gets reduced
    4) Nobody will trade for him
    5) He wants out to go play for a winner down the stretch

I am not saying it’s a done deal, but you missed one simple fact regarding whatever reason they signed him at the first place is : No longer matter.

Because they fired their GM even before the season started.

Haha. That doesn’t mean it no longer matters. You’re telling me Sarver was the only one on board to sign Ariza. Everyone else was against it or indifferent?

I bet people who get likes from me think I’m siding with them. I just like solid thoughts.

Teodosic would be a great fit if his feet are OK.

Not hard evidence. But A.) The GM who signed him got fired. B.) The Suns suck and now Ariza isn't even starting. C.) If they're going to suck this bad, they may as well play their young guys.

    • Wes Mathews - averaging 16ppg on 38% shooting from 3
    • James Johnson - Been injured all year. Works if PJ can play the 3 and JJ can hit the corner 3. Excellent play maker, rebounder, and defensive player... At $14 mill for another 2 years that’s a bargain in today’s NBA.
    • Trevor Ariza - 10ppg on 34% shooting from 3 mainly bc he’s trying to create his own shot rather than others creating it for him (CP & JH). However, familiarity is a huge plus and can definitely be sat if he goes 0-for again in the playoffs bc Gary is more than capable.
    • DeMar Carroll - Another guy that’s been injured all year but has proven to be a contributor when healthy. Averaged 14ppg on 38% shooting from 3 last season, however, he’s another guy forced to create for himself.
    • Solomon Hill - Good defender but at $12 mill for a guy averaging 2 a game and shooting under 30% from 3, yea I’m good.
    • Julius Randle - Don’t need a PF/C who can’t shoot. We already have Isaiah developing rather wel and would hate to impede that by bringing in someone way more expensive who does the same things while I can argue that Isaiah does them better TBH.

Yeah. Once they buy him out, he is headed to Houston.

Ariza started and played 40+ minutes tonight. He's started every game he's been available, which is 14 games with 14 starts.

He was away from the Suns organization for a brief period because of a family issue which is probably why you weren't seeing him in the starting lineup for 2 games.

Rockets biggest need right now is a backup 1. Not so much a starting 3...

    1- paul, ?????????????
    2- harden, gordon
    3- ennis, green
    4- tucker, clark
    5- capela, hartenstein
