I don't understand the hate he gets around here. He's 20. He has a clear weakness and that is his ability to finish on the roll. Other than that I think he's been solid for a dude his age. Does a lot of little things that don't show up on the stat-sheet.
Joe Chee hasn't played this season. So it's really not fair to say he's more confident than Joe Chee ever was. I personally really like the idea of two seven footers that can switch and defend every position with both dudes on a minimum salary for the next 2 seasons after this one. On this team, in our system, if we could get 48 minutes of switching D at the 5 spot, with decent 3-point shooting and finishing for less than $3 million in salary cap....that would be awesome.
Well, yeah... I didn't say he couldn't get better. I was just responding to a question about why I thought he was more bad than good out there until recently. He just was. The first 4 games of Harden's career he shot 2-2, 1-6, 2-9, and 3-9. He didn't crack a 10 gamescore until his 12th game. I get he's basically the same age Clint was in Clint's first game... and Clint was more often down in the dleague than on the roster that year.
That too is true . .. . .I thought they said it was not that bad He might have lost his spot to injury Cause Hartenstein has made the most of this time Rocket River
He has a case of the Stone Hands. Not Asik-level, but every time Paul or Harden gets him the ball near the hoop, I wince. Agree that he's a better backup option than Chriss and he sure does seem to try hard, but we need a thread for venting when he bobbles the pocket pass off his foot while rolling to the rim.
ClutchFans is actually full of hate threads. It's really annoying to me. I don't get hating on any of our players. Hate on the coaches or GM for choosing them or the lineups, but support the guys out there trying to do their best.
