Hope the Rox will start to find some fun with this win so this group can glue and get better.

But yeah, Melo is indeed toxic.

You will not see this kind of efforts when Melo will be on the floor.

Solid win over quality opponent on the road with one of our superstars bringing us home while playing solid D?

    I’ve seen this before.

Another quiet game thread after a win, which I like. Shows who the real Gs are :p

This game had shades of last year. Decent 3 point accuracy, huge volume, and good defense. Chris Paul and James Harden carving up defenses.

One of the reason that the Rockets were so intimidating to play against last year was because most of the time you think you're playing pretty well but when you look up you realize that "WTF, we're down by 8?"

I know this Nuggets team is going through a mini-slump, and I know there's still some Melodrama™ going on, but damn if this wasn't an encouraging game to witness.

Clint Capela made Jokic jelly jam, and he'll be worth his contract. He's a hard worker, and was going through some nagging injuries that he seems to be pretty much over now.

I'm hoping James Ennis can bring more of what I saw today.

EDIT: And if we're not allowed to make excuses when we lose (e.g. injuries, suspensions, forced rotations) then there shouldn't be any when we win, either. A good win is a good win.

Friendly reminder that PJ Tucker is GOOD at corner 3:

I believe he's still leading after tonight's game

Jokic didn't want to go at the Harden switch anymore and Harden let him know about it

The offense and defense tonight - there seems to be a bounce to it and a good rhythm. I like it.

I never wanted the most overrated player ever MELO in the Rockets. I hope the Rockets show him the door soon. We don’t need no melo drama.

And another thing, I think the Rockets actually match up well against this Nuggets team because their switching defense, especially off screens, can negate the Denver motion offense and mess with their rhythm.

Earlier in the season the Rox were having communication issues on defense, so backdoor cuts off of screens and even cuts from the 45 would mess up the defense, but they seem to have that sorted now.

The most important thing is effort, imo, and since the Brooklyn/Chicago games I think the effort on defense has been there, regardless of the team's offensive struggles, which I assume are behind them now.
