My prediction is that he won't return until after the bye. Our running game has looked great the last few weeks, so no reason to rush him. He could give us a boost going into the 2nd half of the season.
I hope you guys arent looking to Foreman for some kind of help this season. I hate to see you all get upset. It's best to just forget about him playing this year. It's easier that way.
The running game has looked good the past couple of games mostly because the teams played don't know how to stop the run. Luckily for the Texans, it doesn't look like the Broncos have a very good run defense either. In spite of David Johnson only coming in with 39 yards against, the Broncos are giving up 148 yards per game. Washington is much better at stopping the run though. They're top 5.
C'mon Nimo I'm trying to get some feel good stuff going for our OL and RBs, why do you have to bring facts and realism into my fantasy?
I've noticed that over the past 2 games we've been running the zone scheme more than we have all year. I love the scheme because you can get a bunch of misfits on the o-line and if executed correctly, can be demoralizing for the defense. It beats the "power" scheme that we've been trotting out there since 2015. And when you run a good zone, play action passes are that much easier.
You make an interesting observation and one that I'll have to admit that I didn't notice. That could explain why we've have much greater success. I'd also point out that Greg Maincz has started the last two games and believe has been our highest rated OL. The block he made on Miller's TD was pure mauler as he engaged/moved 2 guys to open the hole.
Seriously though. My expectations for him starts with training camp next year. I don’t know if there’s different grades on Achilles tears but I do know that’s a bad one. Maybe gaine isn’t the kind of GM who hangs onto players 2 years after a career ender “Newton”
They have played about the same number of games as D"onta and have shown less promise. So if DF is a bust why not Akins and Rankin?
In DF's case, he was doing great before the injury. As a matter of fact, he got the injury running a TD. Rankin and Akin have done okay with the minutes they've gotten. It's just that the team was doing bad during that time. Look at Davenport. It has taken him a full season plus to get to where he can halfway block now. From where Akins and Rankin were picked you have to give them at least the same amount of time before you give up on them.
Dont know I want to see Rankin play some OG. One things for sure they most likely will contribute more than Foreman did.
But then O'Brien says they have to see what kind of shape he is in. If he can carry the ball more than a couple times without needing a water break. He hasn't played in a while; hasn't done anything on the football field or related to football in about a year. It's not his fault.
