I used to be a 2 percenter, but then one sunday the light dawned on me. When I say dawned, I mean it blasted its full array of uv lights into my eyeballs. I believe one day, you will see the light as well.
Eh... Obviously, the Pats and Chiefs are upper-echelon. And I think the Chargers are likely better than the Texans... although that organization always finds a way to fool you. But no way are the Bengals above the Texans, nor, frankly, is any other team. Not definitively. If he gets healthy, I would take Watson over every other possible AFC postseason QB, save Brady and... probably Mahomes. (Just remember: Andy Reid took the same team with a very good Alex Smith and lost to the Titans last year, who promptly fired their head coach. Yes, Mahomes is (probably) better; yes, Watson will be saddled with BOB. But Andy Reid is has a long and distinguished track record of postseason flops.)
I agree although I expect the Steelers to get back to being the Steelers sometime soon. And the Ravens are still TOUGH Patriots/Chiefs Chargers/Ravens Texans/Steelers/Titans/Dolphins/Bengals Colts/Jets/Broncos/Jags/Browns Raiders/Bills
This is the opposite of the early Kubiak years. Defense is great, offense is putrid. Unfortunately in this case the head coach is responsible for the bad unit.
Ayyy Billy boy out here crackin jokes about his qb having to take the bus because his bad play calling and terrible OL broke all of his ribs. LoLOlOLOLool
I would be cracking jokes too if I had just won my 4th game in a row after starting 0-3 and first place in the division.
Cohesiveness and emotional IQ of a team are a credit to coaching. That's fair. However, another huge aspect of coaching is.... performance and in-game management. Like every good coaching debate thread, this one will ping pong back and forth after every win and loss. But we've had a VERY good sample size at this point. I've come to my conclusions. At the very least, I'd like a good OC, and then I'll be placated.
I jumped up and down for this during the Kubiak era; was pleased with at least the *idea* of Wade Phillips (wasn't sure of the results). Same thing, here. If O'Brien gets a legitimate, independent offensive mind to build and run the offense - same as he's done with the defense - i, too, will be placated.
