Winning game 1 was huge. Getting to their pen in game 1 on. Chris sale start was the icing and cherry on top. Workman is almost unusable now for them the rest of the series and Kelly has been bit. Their bullpen was already a weakness, or at the very least a disadvantage compared to ours. Now they have officially been compromised.

Baseball has a way of humbling you quickly.

Watching the highlights for the 2nd time before I turn the Texans game on...still just as glorious as it was last night.

Agreed. Funny reading through all the posts, especially the ones claiming Yuli was worthless :)

They have to win 4. If down 3-0, they still have to win Game 5. Doubtful they pitch Sale on short rest this series.

With the Sox Bullpen, it's likely they are going to leave Price in and hope he pitches his way out of things. First off, their bullpen is mediocre so you are slower to turn to it if you are managing them.

Secondly they pitched 5 innings yesterday, so if they pull Price early they are taxing the bullpen pretty significantly in what they are hoping is a long series.

I have to think Price will have to give them innings tonight. If Price gives less than three innings, Boston is going to be in trouble imo this whole series with their pen.

The Red Sox will fold quickly if you can jump on them today.

Losing game 1 created some doubt already.

Jump on Price early and it will be a quick series.

    Weather tonight at 7:00pm
    Mostly Clear to Clear
    54 degrees at gametime
Around 11:00pm temp will be 52
    clear skies

Looks a lot better for Astros hitters.
    10 degrees warmer.
Cole should have a great game. Excellent weather for a pitcher.

Crazy to think, when we win the WS this year, Hinch will have more playoff wins than Connie Mack, Dusty Baker, and Lou Piniella. Doesn't seem like he's been here that long, he could easily end in the top 5 when it's all said and done.

I'd assume their game 4 starter would be Eduardo Rodriguez. If he has to get pulled early, they'll use Sale. They'd have to. Remember, they only went with a 11-man staff so if we keep beating up their pen, they're not going to have any choice but throw Sale to try and stay alive.

I think there is a good a chance they use one of their starters tonight.

Gotta cut Mack some slack because they didn't play series back then.

I sure hope Hinch wins 9 pennants and 5 WS titles. I'm cool with that.

If they use Sale Game 4 in that scenario, they have no one left to start Game 5. If goal is not to be swept, that is what you do. Most teams historically would do that. Maybe Boston does that. If they do, Astros odds of winning World Series goes up and Boston's goes down. I'm all for Boston putting their players in inefficient situations.

This team plays with a locked in precision like we’ve never seen in this city. Mid 90s Rockets included. Those teams were great because Olajuwon was the best player in the world those two years.

This Astros team is a machine.
