Those are exactly the three I put on ignore too. I wasn't sure about Kingoff but I felt better safe than sorry.
I've personally never been too high on Jimmy Butler. Have always thought he was a tad overrated. I don't see a reason for a 3rd star anymore now that Melo/Eric Gordon pretty much provide what anyone would want a 3rd star to provide: An all out offensive assault next to James Harden and CP3.
So a deal was progressing before Minnesota asked for Josh Richardson... I could have guessed that without the tweet. Hardly qualifies as news.
But I don't think you sacrifice depth unless you are getting a superstar in return. Butler, no matter what the media wants one to believe is not a superstar. A star sure but no different than a Kevin Love or Blake Griffin. Those guys aren't game changers.
Morey is great at not taking trade rejections personally. He just goes back to the Murraymatic™ Trade Generator, tweaks the input, and has it spit out another suggestion for him to try.
well now that Marc has reported it I can say why I tweeted the gif of me keeping my mouth closed: Houston made an offer in the last 10 days for Butler, that didn't include P.J. Minnesota asked for him, and talks stalled. It wasn't my report or scoop and he told me not to go public without finding out more info so I kept my mouth closed. Houston could have had him, but I guess didn't want to run that risk of losing P.J, who's not only JH best friend but a team leader on defense.
Is this where posters that were spamming the board with far-fetched trade scenarios now say, "Good! We didn't want him anyway!"
