Seems like Minny has an agreement in place with Houston but Morey has told Minny to wait while he tries to involve Sac so we don't lose Tuck. and if it doesn't work then most likely Tucker is gone.
D'Antoni would actually make Butler way more effective offensively as well, bc he can turn those iso mid-range jumpers into iso 3-point jumpers.
I can’t see Morey letting PJ Tucker get in the way of acquiring a 3rd star in Jimmy Butler...he’ll try his hardest to get it done without him, but at the end of the day, if Tuck just had to be included in order for a deal to get done, I can’t see Morey saying “nah, I’m good” I hope he can get it done with Ego and filler
Was thinking this too. I think JB would be a rental. Things could go the other way, but I just do t see it longterm.
Whenever it's time to help out the Rockets the NBA never wants to help. Whenever the Rockets need to get a third team in the deal, there is never a third damn team. Lebron can trade his whole team to 5 different destinations at the drop of a hat.
absolutely so long as the package we send reflects that. i'd certainly reevaluate including someone like tucker if butler's camp wouldn't entertain a long term extension. but even if it's just a one year rental it's worth it bc that would be a hellaciously strong team and who knows, if you win it all maybe you can convince him to stick around. that said he sounds pretty damn intent on going to LA or NYC.
I think it’s because we just don’t have much in the way of expendable assets when getting a 3rd team involved. First it was trying to give scrub Ryno to a 3rd team, and how many of our 1st round picks would it take for Sacramento to take a contract as hideous as Dieng’s?
These are two cod man lines. Which are exactly what that Brandon guy tweeted after Cod posted this. Hou doesn't want to give up Tuck, Sac as 3rd team, worried Butlers a rental.
You know.... All of this talk about the 2 yard line over the years. Maybe our problem is we need to get a new running back.
