We should trade Knight for Noah just to swap him for Butler, you know Thibs would love to coach Joakim again.
the complexity of this makes me chuckle...going down that rabbit hole of working loopholes to save a trade scenario. So, Minny is going to agree to pay and use up two 15-man roster spots just to facilitate salary matching? btw: Clark and Edwards have Exhibit 10s. Exhibit 10s (ability to convert to a two-way) are only allowed with non-guaranteed contracts...if you think about it, that makes sense, since the whole point of two-ways is to pay less than minimum for an extra roster spot. So, guaranteeing Clark and Edwards would eliminate their Exhibit 10 status, make them part of the 15-man Roster, and thus require Minny to cut them (and pay them full) to regain those roster spots.
We should see if we can sign Heinrich, Rasual Butler and Carlos Boozer too and throw them in the deal.
In my opinion last year's team was a championship team. They just happened to exist at the same time as possibly the greatest team in NBA history. Seriously, 19 years out of 20 that team was good enough to win it all.
Not saying anything is happening - but Houston definitely isn't out of the running at this point. There are some pretty advanced 3-4 team trade talks going down that results in Butler going to Houston, without giving up both EG and PJ.
Cyberx's report that PJ is on the block confirms what Nook said earlier. This is really disturbing. I sure hope Sacramento will get into the picture to prevent this from happening. I still think that Miami will get Butler at the end of the day. That's okay with me, despite his obvious talent. Addendum: I was typing while ch44 reported the latest update. I'm pleased that Morey might be trying to retain PJ.
