One thing that is annoying in all this is EG knows he’s being offered up with no hesitation. Yeah I know what you’re all gonna say. It’s a business. He’s still getting paid. It’s for Jimmy Butler, so what if it doesn’t happen. All those points are true but doesn’t change the fact that it’ll sting for someone who has done everything we’ve asked of him. I remember Ujiri getting flamed for the way he handled Derozan, but looking back now, considering most trade offers aren’t accepted in the NBA, maybe it’s the way you have to do things. You’re not gonna convince Eric Gordon he wasn’t offered. It’ll be interesting to see what team ends up getting Jimmy and whether they were profiled all these days leading up to it.
