I saw a Knight+EGo trade suggested earlier that is a no go because it is a sideways trade. To trade now would have to be a simultaneous 3 team trade addition to the Suns trade if it is even possible. I have no doubt the new board darling is Butler and then a disgruntled Kawhi later if possible. Butler is definitely gone so definitely traded by the deadline. Maybe he goes before the season. Why does Minnesota trade with us when they could get a better package anywhere? The Butler to Lakers rumors are all over the internet. Is there some poison pill we could pull off to help them that would give us a competitive advantage over other teams. Butler is perfect for us and I would love to get him and keep EGo even if we gave up two 1sts but I just don't see how that happens. Help me understand why. If it happens I will lose my **** because he is the perfect player for us.
We have all been expecting either Brandon Knight or Chriss flipped in a deal. I don’t believe they can be traded with other players for two months.....only individually. Chriss contract nets you little to nothing, but Knight could bring back a George Hill. Rockets then play CP3 (PG)/Eric Gordon (SG)/Harden (SF) often, per rumored plan. According to 82games.com Harden scored high at SF under very small sample size. Game plan would be, “out score” everyone (defense would be very suspect....but ball handlers everywhere). I’m not a fan of going Uber small-ball.....I prefer mostly wings when going “Small-Ball.” Hill shot about 42% from three with about 3 attempts from 3 each game in 17/18. Non guaranteed $ (19/20 season). Morey likey-likey. More money for free agent. Rodney Hood under new contract almost equal to Knights contract. Draft pick(s) make it worth the Cavs time.
