We missed on Morris, and now Peterson. Day late and a dollar short, so now we settle it looks like. blah
The issue with Peterson is that he's so terrible blocking, you don't want a RB who might get your QB killed by whiffing on a block.
Texans had the entire offseason to sign AP, even after proclaiming it would be his dream signing. Right or wrong, Texans straight passed.
I guess time will tell how that works out for the Redskins. I can't help but wonder if his bad blocking is so much worse than all our backup RBs, compared to what could be his upside.
Grades poorly as a pass catcher as well. But in a short yardage role (where Miller struggles mightily) neither should matter. I can only imagine his ego wouldn’t let him accept such a limited role
For sure I'd have given him a shot, hopefully Foreman makes a miraculous recovery and it won't matter. Perhaps, I dunno, I'm not really THAT worried about the offense TBH.
I personally think that Adrian Peterson is washed. I'd take Lamar Miller over him any day of the week and twice on the day that counts. 2012 was a loooooong time ago.
They didn't have to. AP owns a gym in Houston, and works out there all the time. Houston staffers have been known to go by from time to time just to hang out. The Texans have a very good read on Peterson.
Don't think I want it to happen. Quite the contrary actually. Just saying, history has a tendency to repeat itself with some type injuries. That has already shown with Watson, and who knows about Foreman. Let's hope it doesn't.
what about Jamal Charles? I know his best days are behind him, but don't think it would hurt to take a look.
