Any gamble GS makes is seen as shrewd because they could easily shake off Cousins not returning to form, whereas we can't make those same gambles. If we signed Cousins for the MLE fans would be extremely disappointed. If GS signed Isaiah Thomas fans would be freaking out, even though none of us would have wanted him on our roster. I agree with you that Cousins probably doesn't make GS any better unless he makes a miraculous recovery from the Achilles tear.

Carmelo Anthony is not even a good NBA player. In any role at all. Ariza was a fringe elite 3D guy. They're not even on the same planet.

Ennis has NEVER in his life come close to Mbah a Moute's defensive abilities at all. No his impact, ability to contain penetration, versatility, intelligence, nothing. Nothing at all.

 

People have legitimately deluded themselves into believing Russell Westbrook doesn't make his teammates better. Absurdly horrible opinion.

Carmelo Anthony hasn't even been a good NBA player since the 2014 season. He was awful the 3 years before OKC with Westbrook(2015, 2016, 2017) and hhe will damn sure be awful a couple years after that, while getting older and clearly worse. This guy is a sub-par jumpshooter with slow feet and average ballhandling alongside poor vision. He simply sucks. Even in 2014 a Paul George was better. Roy Hibbert even dominated him in the postseason.

A guy like Gary Harris is a couple tiers above him. And Harris is no star.

 

I can't wait for the unexpected to happen. Like MDmA finds out that Melo&Ryno together work like a charm or something like that that comes out of left field.
