If he’s not a part of a trade package (I hope not) I assume he may sign shortly after Melo officially does.
Who knows. We can use 3 pt shooters off the bench, and with Paul's injury proneness, we might just see this guy get a chance. After all, he hits the 3's at a much higher percentage than R J Hunter or Michael Carter Williams, and Gordon's stats have decreased steadily the last 3 years. Just hoping for a gem in the rough, who might actually outshine the others unexpectedly.
Rockets announce they have signed former UH star Rob Gray. GM Daryl Morey: "We were fortunate to sign Rob. We've had our eye on him for a while now. The team sees him as a flying-under-the-radar steal when it comes to training camp fodder, as he's moderately talented and lives nearby."
He was recovering from a foot injury so his minutes were limited, then he shut it down. I would have preferred to sign Adel Deng but I think Gray has the potential to be a player if he works on his 3-point shot. Kid has a great first step, though. As for Duvall, he has a nice first step as well, and is probably more of a pure PG but his shot is erratic and he’s turnover prone. He’s nowhere near the scorer of Gray. Will be interesting to see how Gray transitions to PG. I can’t see him playing off the ball as just a shooter.
You'd rather it was Les signing mediocre Asian and European players in an attempt to tap into overseas markets? (no racism intended towards any group - but Les did try to utilize mediocre players to create an interest overseas... jus sayin... I dont think Joe Chee will ever be serviceable...)
