Really? Most of the MMA fighters I've seen on TV have dad bods but I haven't watched in a while. Chuck Liddell had Harden's bod.
It’s fighter to fighter just like anywhere else. In the heavy weight division it can be more like that but most mma fighters are insane shape in today’s world Just to name a few GSP, Tyrone woodly, Connor Mcgregor, Jon Jones, Jose Aldo etc etc who are all current or former champs. Back in the old days it was less but as the sport evolved it got better But sometimes body types just give off an “out of shape” appearance which is what I actually think harden is suffering From. Plus definition isn’t always something that’s really needed for sports and more for looks sometimes. Body builders actually have no functional strength and are stiff and can’t ususlly fight or play sports
It won't affect his dribbling or shots, and face it, he never did much running down the court anyway. Maybe if he gets too pudgy he won't be able to rebound as much, or might get too tired to put as much effort on defense though. But, those weren't ever his strengths anyway.
Would not be a summer without this thread. I'll start worrying if he starts off the season poorly. Until then, whatever.
If your body is used to burning X calories a day and suddenly stopped doing it, how will the body react?
