James is a lot like Tucker on defense, can guard 3-5 very well, except unlike Tucker, he's a very good ball handler and passer. He'd be a great addition to our defense with the absence of Ariza and Moute.

I like Tyler and would be nothing but happy if we could get him for Anderson, but at 6'4 185 he's limited to guarding strictly guards. Even if we ignore our roster needs, Tyler still isn't nearly the defender James is at their own respective positions.

I agree. You need a clear Starting SF. Not a PF/SF mix.

 

Would be nice to have someone a bit younger on the team. But James Johnson would be useful also.

 

So in reality, this whole story is about the Rockets trying to dump Ryan Anderson. But that wouldn't have made a flashy headline.
