He can play it in O he absolutely can't play it in D. After the 2nd ACL his lateral quickness is horrible aside from his zero defensive comprehension. He only..played it in the Bucks because Mids and GA could cover the other SF. The Bulls on the other hand..they have Lavine and Portis/Markannen ..to cover for Parker..hehehehe
Ahhhh... thx @malakas and @motleydeflep6 A quick glance at basketball reference showed his PER improved the last two seasons as he played more at SF than in the past. Guess we can chalk that up to maturity.
If the Bucks don't match the Bulls offer.. Will this free up cap for them to make a run at Clint (that we would HAVE to match)?
I know about bballholic. Unfortunately he is not the only poster wishing to commit war crimes against our roster
I hope parker saved money... he should just do a demarcus cousins.... find a competitive team that can afford to let him sit for a year or so to completely rehabilitate. Hopefully he figures it out soon.
Even if they want to sign Clint, they are not going to give him 4 yrs 100 million. No one is! Like Morey said to him.... SET THE MARKET! If someone offered him the money he wants... Morey is not afraid to just say thank you we decline to match!
I don't feel that trade is balanced. Nor would I do it as a Rocket without something further involved, a significant draft pick, or something from a third team. There are two reasons that I have very clearly stated repeatedly, which cause me to feel we are better off to sign and trade Capela. 1. Because it could help us clear out Anderson's albatross contract. While you are pointing out that we, in your opinion, would be trading the best player in the deal, I will remind you that we would also be trading the worst player in the deal. And if we could do that, breaking Anderson up into a couple useful rotation players (Snell/Henson) without giving up draft picks them that is a huge plus. 2. Because if we don't sign and trade Capela but instead give him a big contract, then we will have Anderson's big contract plus Capela's big contract BOTH sitting on the bench when we in crunch time trying to beat the Warriors!!!! That would be something like close to $40 million in salary unplayable against the Warriors. Just to add another point......when we do play Capela against the Warriors in non-crunch time minutes........We can't even run pick and roll!!!!!! Everybody should understand very clearly. For us to able to beat the Warriors, Capela had to be, at best, the 6th to 7th rotation player. At best. If we sign Capela long term it has to be at a salary that we can move out without shedding a bunch of other assets. UNLESS and UNTIL we move out Anderson we CANNOT afford to have two potentially bad contracts on the books. Because we simply don't have the assets to shake free of two bad deals and still even pretend to be a championship contender. So......there's that.
