Yeah, I am sure lottery picks are going to be lining up to learn from the Jeremy Lin. Heard the same from Lin fans when Lakers sent Russel to Nets. Guess Nets never got the memo lol
The good news for the Rox from this trade is : basically the Hawks are willing to take a 12.5M garbage contract for a 2025 second round pick (their 2023 second round pick looks like will be better than the Nets). And that means : if the Rox will want to dump Andersons bad contract for Bazemore's bad contract, even for one of the Rox future second round pick, it looks the Hawks maybe willing to do it.
“I’m biased. I played with [Ed Davis] and have always said that he’s one of my favorite pick-and-roll players to play with that I’ve ever had,” said Lin. “I was talking to Kenny about Ed right when I signed. I was like, ‘Hey, we should go get this guy.’ I’m very happy to have him on board. I think he does a great job of doing his job. He’s a great teammate. He’s a really smart player. He knows where to be and he’s there at the right time. Appreciated that. I can’t wait to play with him.” - Jeremy Lin, Jull 11. A day later, Nets ship Lin out.
Lin got injured in Brooklyn so it never panned out but Russell had a career year last year lol. Not saying that Lin helped him or not but he did help Coach Atkinson a lot. Anyways I don't care about or even like Lin. Trae's just the type that will soak up knowledge from others and Lin will provide great insight, especially since he's already had a similar spotlight on him before. Please don't spout off and get me caught up with this LOF/LOH debate lol
Anthony Puccio: Moving Jeremy Lin was a priority since the beginning of summer. #Nets wanted to clear logjam at the point guard position and get rid of Lin desperately. – via Twitter APOOCH
The year before last when he played, Nets had the worst record in the league. It didn't pan before the injury either lol. How was Lin helping out Russel last year? Sitting on the couch and playing video games?
Except the Lin bad contract is expiring. Anderson still has the dreaded extra year that hits you in 2019 free agency. Nobody is taking that on for a second. Teams want to be players in 2019 free agency.
LOL. BTW, I am now open to the idea of Rockets signing Melo to a minimum contract.... ....and then trading him mid season to the Hawks for a pick or something or whatever.
LOH is not a real term created by Rockets fans It was created by Lin fans because LOF is a pure description of what they truly are
We have Paul, Harden, Gordon, Mcw, Gerald Green, Melton. Yea we need another 12 million dollar guard on the team.
Haha damn that sucks for Lin. Dinwinddie played well last year and with a younger Russell, it is kind of expected. Hope he can at least stay healthy this year
