You don't really believe that's the only time a player works, do you? Because practice. shooting drills. weight training. cardio. film sessions. travel time. They work pretty damned hard to be the best in the world.
Capela wants $100m/4yrs. Rockets offering $60m/4yrs. Capela signs QO. Capela leaves Rockets for Warriors next year, signing 1-year, $5.5M deal, replacing DeMarcus Cousins.
You don't need too many, you just need one. And there will be one, like there has been one for Gobert, Adams, Whiteside, Horford, Jokic, Drummond..... look at how those guys are getting paid. If you're a center, you dont need to be a superstar to get that kind of max money (not a Chris Paul max). His market value at his age is a max; not this year cause he's been a restricted FA, but it probably will be next summer, if everything goes OK for him. :/
Merriam Webster: GREED: (noun): a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (such as money) than is needed I would like to hear a rational argument presented about why $85M isn't enough money for someone. Separately - we don't know Capela's actual disposition. I don't trust the pot-stirrer twitter folks who claim he is disgruntled, even hostile towards the Rockets. I'm going with innocent until proven guilty. Capela doesn't seem like this type of player to me.
i'm praying for one. although the cap experts here have mentioned it could be very difficult as CC's new contract will be treated as "base year" so we can only take 50% back in salary
Players on the rockets want to get more money, and the stupid players on GS took less money to have a better team, whom should we blame for?

Wow, that's a big swing. They'd save another $20M if they didn't give it to a replacement-level player in Zach Levine.
