Lol shut up, how can you say whether or not someone is disinterested? Come on man I watched every game, he was always engaged. You guys really just hate him for some reason.

Right on Melo, I thought you were pretty engaged you even got married which is a level above being engaged.

He had no quote from anyone in the organization, he speculated much like all of the media about the bench thing which isn't necessary in Houston because no other wing deserves to start over him.

Maybe Feigen doesn't want him here and he came up with this article just so Melo camp will read this

about 4-5 years ago he put up back to back stud seasons. Wasnt his fault the knicks were awful. 2013 he shot 40 percent from 3 with 28 points a game. He was damn good in his prime. People love to forget. As a Knick he never had any other stars with him. His best talent as a teammate might have been jr smith.

This guy has chosen money and lifestyle over better odds of winning almost every single time he had a choice. I'm super proud if the Rockets told him he has to come off the bench. If he accepts that, I'll have some hope that he's sunken so low in the hero's journey, that he's now ready to make a profound change. If he doesn't accept that, we didn't miss out on a better player than Ryan Anderson anyway.

See that delusional bs that Ryan Anderson is anywhere on Melo's level right now is just blasphemy. We gotta stop lying to ourselves. Ryan Anderson is crap against a playoff intesified defense and he can't even create a open shot for himself off the dribble under pressure and be successful. His defense is a straight up joke as well.

There are things other than creating a shot, stop looking at things through a narrow window. This team has two of the top shot creators in the world and Eric Gordon is not bad either. Melo and Ryno are similar defensively: no matter who we play, they will isolate one of these two and torch them repeatedly. Both Ryno and Melo are crap against a Warriors defense, all they can do is keep a man close to them - the difference being Ryno will be 26 feet out while Melo will be wandering around in the territory which should be freed for Harden and Paul.

If we need someone whose sole purpose is to create low efficiency shots, we'll sign one for the minimum like we did with Beasley and they will come off the bench and take the kind of shots coach asks them to and they will play piss poor defense with effort, as in they are appreciative of getting a minimum contract vs acting like they did a godly favor by taking the minimum.

Does Melo want to win a championship? That seems like a valid, and fundamental, question. His whole career he's been viewed as 'great player, will never win a championship'. If he wants to win a championship, here is the place to do it, and that should motivate him to do whatever is asked/required. If he doesn't particularly care about that, then the various issues like this will crop up. So...which is it?

why is OKC taking so long to get resolution on this?? There is not many teams that have cap space to trade for him, so no leverage at all.. Just confused on how long this is taking..
also what is the point of giving him permision to meet with teams (negotiate his buyout at a lower rate)?

I guess they're just doing him a solid, or better, to his agent.

Taking time cause i guess teams with cap space are trying to take maximum advantage from the situation, probably asking at least a 1st rounder to OKC.

Dude would rather start and not go far in the playoffs than be on a team contending for a ring

    Why do we want him?

i wouldnt buy all this report that he wont come off the bench and change his role (This is all speculation) Marc Stein Reported yesterday that he would be surprise if its not Houston ( Im sure CP3 is in his ear all this time - and also hes has been wanting to come here (and know he has a chance to start as well. )(With Luc and Ariza gone)

28 million to swallow is a lot.. this would probably take 2 first rounders.. This will end in a buyout,
just dont see a team trading for that contract (and paying the price to buy him out) unless its a high reward return

Where is this correlation coming from?

So if he comes off the bench he'll win a championship but if he starts he won't?

    What the hell is next?

thats what i mean (It doesnt matter if he starts or not) Look at CP3 (yes he starts (but gets pull with 9 Min left in the Quarter (he then plays alot with second units) this is all ridiculous bs about starting or not
