I don't think that's quite banner worthy as a buyout rental. And it would be silly to print out those marketing materials before he was actually signed. Lakers are in the mix too I'm assuming.
Haha, I'm good. I'm meeting up with my friend Wednesday and I'll ask some follow up stuff. If anything sounds tasty, I'll relay it to the forum. Getting Melo would be like an Artest-like move, probably a level beneath due to his age. No rally needed for Melo IMO, just a press conference would suffice.
Just saw Carmelo in Oklahoma airport headed to Houston. He said by the end of next week you will fill the love and you never put a baby in the Korver. Hmmmm
Was watching Toy Story, reminded me of sources. Fosters podcast makes me miss him in a Texans uniform preferably at the goal line. Funny I LOVE sports. Insert Dmos quote. Harden and Paul is Batman & Robin, looks like an Alfred is possible. XO XO.
I liked Joe Johnson for his post up game. But in looking at his shot chart over the years, Iso Joe likes going across/over the lane for his shot. Melo hits the shot where Durant was hitting them all playoffs long. At an angle off the box. Melo will give us a deep low post presence that the other teams possess. Might come in handy. Melo shot chart: not bad at right corner 3 and above the break 3 according to stats/nba.com http://stats.nba.com/players/shooti...asonType=Regular Season&DistanceRange=By Zone (go to 2 page) 447 shots (looking at the heat map) from where Durant was killing teams in the playoffs. Hopefully the Rockets can provide more spacing than the Thunder provided Melo. http://nbasavant.com/player.php?player_id=2546 Joe Johnson shoot chart: http://nbasavant.com/player.php?player_id=2207
Brother, calm the waters. Breathe in. Breathe out. A minimum contract is nothing to be concerned over. Otto Porter or Kelly Oubre will take his starting role.
Then you should not like alot of players because most players will have a bad playoff series. He didnt fit Oklahoma City. Their coach has no system or plan. Melo needs to have structure. He was also always the power forward. He stood around. In Houston the 3 and 4 are interchangable most times. Alot of screen and pick and pop rolls in the anderson roll. Shots not there he can create something himself. I think he would be much better here.
I get it, he's a big name, was once a "star" a franchise player who could score as well as anyone and though he's no longer that, he is still a talent offensively. Unfortunately IMO he's also a headcase, a cancer, a selfish player and just simply, a player I wouldn't want on my team. Not going to bother listing all his past issues with the Nuggets & Knicks, but I'll simply leave some quotes from Melo these past months. On his role with the Thunders, ie... catch and shoot, floor spacer stretch four. "I don't think I can be effective as that type of player," Anthony said. "I think I was willing to accept that challenge in that role, but I think I bring a little bit more to the game as far as being more knowledgeable and what I still can do as a basketball player." Anthony also made it clear he would not be accepting of a bench role. "I'm not sacrificing no bench role," "So that's out of the question." Imagine the problems with Dwight Howard in 2015-16, not accepting a certain play style or role, now imagine that player is older, past his prime, more selfish, with a bigger ego and even more unwilling to see beyond his own delusions of grandeur. I'm not sure who I would hate to root for more, Cousins or Melo.
