Well. It seems like Murray is sleeping. Half of a year of laying the masterplan while Boogie goes to worriers for 5mln$. The only remedy for that move would be AD or Kawhi and even then we wouldn't be favourites

All big signings are out the window. At this point signing Rodney Hood should induce a pep rally.

what are you talking about? we are the favorites... harden capela and cp3 trio proved almost unbeatable last year...only foster brothers can beat us, and i hope morey is working something about that right now #newmath

why should you sign anyone big and risk the chemistry?

trio of cp3 cap and harden went 45-5 or something last year

ALMOST. You can work numbers and schemes all you want but with that much talent disparity (they got Boogie without loosing anyone but McGee!) you can only hope for luck. Even if we get another star is with sacrifice of someone like EG/Capela/Tucker or two of them

Im not so sure winning will be his priority if he’s not able to put up stats to raise his market value. Dude went from looking at over 100 million before his injury to his agents having to shop him around at a discount...

that stats make no difference. he just needs to show that he can still be on the floor and playing behind a big 4 like GS, will be no issue being the easiest job of his entire career. winning cures everything. theres no question about that. anyone actually trying to question any of this are kidding themselves.

A lot of panic going on in here. Maybe the silence from the FO means they're working on something. Let's neither dream too big nor get too low.

I always knew you were an unflappable fellow. Would you like to learn more about the ever growing group of optimists known as The Otto Porter Movement?

iunno silence usually means we aren't getting anything. We used to get chatter when we are about to sign something big given how many "insiders" there are

It really doesn't matter what Morey's "working on". The Warriors continue to stack the deck.

Sign Capela to a value contract, later package it with Gordon and picks for a star, pick up transformed Dwight and Melo

Would have been nice to grab some of the cheap role players to help boost the bench - guys like Mike Scott, Seth Curry, and Nerlens Noel can provide valuable minutes at $2-4M/season.

We’re not going to beat the warriors on stars by getting b and c level “big names”

We probably should have thrown a pep rally for PJ and Luc for what they brought last year. So let’s see what morey does.

Again, guys, rather than be miffed at the players we didn't sign how about we take a step back and think about why these guys weren't signed.

Morey is usually active every summer during Free Agency period. This summer is different because WE. DON'T. HAVE. CAP. SPACE.

So what is the next best thing to do to improve this team? Trades. Why hasn't he traded anyone yet? Because free agents haven't officially signed yet. Why does that matter? Because the free agents going to their new teams need to officially commit before said team can trade their existing player(s).

Oh, I'm flappable. In fact, I flapped just the other....

    Oh, wait. "Unflappable."

Well, I won't lie, the Boogie thing is not great. But we're not done yet. We nearly took the Warriors out not so much with firepower but rather with trapping, switching defense. Yes, Ariza's gone, but he ran very hot and cold, and he was bound to be gone anyway.

I want to see where all this ends up before we all link hands and jump off the Houston Ship Channel bridge.

There we go. Exactly. We have to improve through trades. Certain teams we hear wanting to blow it up, shed salary, tank, whatever.

My belief is that Morey is prepared to take on a serviceable player on a bad contract and ship Anderson and picks out in return. If this team is in win now mode--which it clearly is--then taking on a bad contract for the next 2-3 years but getting a complimetary player that produces is the best option right now.

There’s no chatter because we aren’t/can’t sign anything big aside from retaining Capela (hopefully).

The only way we’re going to improve (will be difficult) is via trade. There’s nobody else left on the market that move the needle while being in our budget. A trade that involves Anderson has proven to be difficult. A trade that involves Anderson while getting value in return is unheard of.

I’m not worried though. Morey always has a plan.
