Trade him to a team that says to themselves "I am sorry unless picks and other sweeteners are involved, I literally don't see why any team would want [My Team Player X]." ......hey maybe I can trade Player X for Ryan Anderson! Another man's trash is another man's treasure. Not every team is set up the same.
Rockets: Ryan Anderson ($20,421,546 -- 2 years) Knicks: Courtney Lee ($12,253,780 -- 2 years) Lance Thomas ($7,119,650 -- 2 years) Lee is shooting 40% from 3PT again so he would do wonders on the Rockets coming off the bench after Gordon. Plus, Thomas is another tough wing defender who can switch on guards.
I mean I’m sorry I just don’t see it that way, all the so called “trash” players people are listing here I’m just thinking why on earth would they swap them for Anderson. His only skill is shooting and he can’t eveb do that
I never said you outright claim they’re false nor did I say you should be or claim to be a source. I’d love this.. mainly because I think it’s possible
Ryan Anderson for Allen Crabbe or DeMarre Carroll Ryan Anderson for Evan Turner Ryan Anderson and salary matching pieces for Nicolas Batum Ryan Anderson for Wilson Chandler and Kenneth Faried
Here we go... No, I haven't checked them in the trade machine, not saying all or any of the teams would do them because they wouldn't and I'm not sure I'd do some of them. And contrary to ClutchFans complaining , as Yule C, Ryan Anderson is not the only bad terrible no good contract. That said... And fans on other team message boards and saying the same thing about their trash player. You need to take a step back and look at the macro.
I actually forgot Brendon Knight exist lol, i wonder what is his trade value, i guess super low, still not sure they would trade him for Anderson straight up, probably not. But anyway, these are the kind of guys we should target, guys with low market value like Bazemore (i don't really see a team trade for him with that contract), a player that fits here, that has some sort of upside in terms of boosting his trade value by playing here, and with a flexible contract for our situation. Getting him by losing just some minor assets would be pretty good imo, i wouldn't be exited about the swap if we would lose a 1st rounder tbh, but for a couple of 2nd rounders or one and a young player well, i'd do that in a heartbeat.
Batum sustained ligament damage in his shooting wrist this year during the preseason and played through it. Also, Steve Clifford is from the Van Gundy tree, so Batum spent the last three years in one of the more archaic offensive systems in the NBA. On the other hand, Terry Stotts in Portland is known as a good offensive coach. Plus, in Charlotte, Batum’s took on a primary scoring/ball handling role due to the roster construction, while, during his time in Portland, his role was more comparable to Ariza’s with the Rockets.
How come this post has only 3 likes? Trash jokes get 10 likes easily and this guy put all this great work and only 3 likes. Come on.
This would be a good deal for the Rockets. Not sure why the Knicks do it though. Anderson isn’t a good fit next to Porzingis and they aren’t saving money/getting a sweetener in return.
when you say super low, you mean super high in the negative spectrum? He would be lucky to have zero value let alone low value.
TIFWIW as I think @malakas said Gery Woelfel isn't reliable. And Gery damn near listed half the league below. http://woelfelspressbox.com/2018/06/there-isnt-a-shortage-of-interest-in-parker/ The Kings are, according to league sources, just one of numerous teams that wouldn’t mind having Parker on their roster next season [...] The $64,000 question is how much money a team will offer Parker to lure him away from Milwaukee. A longtime NBA executive whose team won’t pursue Parker because they don’t need a starting forward contends it’ll be hefty sum. “I think some teams will give him $20 million (a season) and there might be some teams that will make it tough on Milwaukee to match and offer him even more,’’ the NBA official said. “I think Milwaukee would like to keep him for $16 million or something around that figure, trying to use his injury situation to their advantage. [...] Another NBA official speculated the Philadelphia 76ers, who have a ton of cap space, could come into play for Parker, especially if they fail in their bid to land a coveted superstar. Besides Sacramento and Philadelphia, some other teams that have surfaced as potential landing spots for Parker Chicago, Utah, Indiana, Atlanta, Phoenix and Brooklyn. [...] While Parker agreeing to an offer sheet is a real possibility, some NBA officials contend a more likely scenario is Parker agreeing to a sign-and-trade deal. The Bucks undoubtedly would prefer a sign-and-trade as they could at least recoup something for a player who former Bucks coach Jason Kidd just last year said, along with Giannis Antekounmpo, was untouchable. It’s no secret the Bucks would be receptive to upgrading their center and/or point guard positions via a sign-and-trade arrangement. Two teams who could enter the picture in a sign-and-trade scenario are Houston and the Los Angeles Clippers. Both organizations have a high regard for Parker as a player and person. Houston, which advanced to the Western Conference Finals last season, clearly wants to add another quality player and is hoping to land either James or George, while the Clippers and Bucks had discussions before the trading deadline last February centering around Parker and Blake Griffin. Griffin eventually was dealt to the Detroit Pistons. “I don’t see him (Parker) signing early in free agency,’’ a source said. “I see something getting done with him maybe in late July or early August. I was told by one of his friends that he (Parker) loves Milwaukee. He loves the people there; he loves the city. He wouldn’t have paid all that money (reportedly around $1.5 million) to redo that warehouse he lives in if he didn’t like Milwaukee. “But I don’t see him staying there. If you’re asking me, it’s 75-25 he goes to another team.’’
Parker uh...another younger Melo basically. I wonder who would be a better bet for us between him and Gordon... Yep lol.
It seems to me, which is valueless in reality of course, that SL's greatest likelihood of coming over is to play with friends/Sp Nat'l Team mates...
