I feel like CP3 is the only one who's trying to recruit him while everyone else on the team feels like they don't need LeBron to win the championship, especially Harden. Harden doesn't seem like the type of guy at this point in his career to play 2nd fiddle and compete with his own teammate for MVP every year. He wants to win a ring being the main guy. And look what happened when Dwayne Wade went to the Cavs and his bromance with Lebron caused a rift in the locker room. Not saying the same thing would happen here with Paul/Lebron but it could cause players in the locker room to lose confidence, ie Harden. And who knows, Rockets team/ brass wanting LeBron might strike doubt in Harden that the franchise doesn't have faith in him to bring a championship to the city which will make him possibly less loyal to the city and he leaves us whenever he's a free agent. Not saying I agree with this reality, but this is the reality that is inside Harden's head which is the real reason LeBron won't be a Rocket
Harden just won MVP, give him a few hours before hating on him. We have no idea what is actually being said but if Lebron doesn't come to Houston it will not be because of Harden. Hes the reason why you do come /thread
It has already been documented that LeBron didn't like the idea of playing with Harden and I can see why. Harden is the reason why complimentary all stars and role players should want to come to Houston, not a potential co-mvp. Even with Paul, he came to Houston he didn't want to have to handle the ball all the time, I don't think LeBron has that same mindset. Lebron wanted that MVP really bad this year, he's going to want it even more next year.
Lebron wanted the championship and to beat GS way more than any MVP award. Just look at his effort during the playoffs. It's the rings that separate Bron and Jordan not the mvp awards.
I think we got this whole deal wrong. Maybe Lebron isn't man enough to play for the Rockets. Good Food, great people, endless entertainment, and living under Hakeem's shadow. What could he not like?
LeDiva don't want to play with the MVP, Executive of the Year or his bestie/Godfather. So get on ... get on with Paul George (LOL) and Lavar Ball. He is not obsessed with beating the Warriors. Warriors beat him into semi-retirement. 1-8/1-9. "Ohhhh LA beaches, family, HS basketball for my son!" Give me the GM & roster obsessed with beating Golden State.
Lebron is going to go wherever he wants to go. It has nothing to do with anyone on the rockets trying to recruit Lebron. Its about Lebron, his goals and his family. The rox organization is already open arms including Beard if Lebron wants to join.
And if Harden and other players on the team were recruiting Lebron, I think he would eventually make his decision to come here. But he's not gonna come to Houston if he feels like the entire team thinks they can win it without him.
what a stupid take, Rockets are the best chance to win a championship for the next couple of years. He obviously wanted something else other than winning, so props to him for choosing what his family wants etc etc. whether or not Harden recruits him makes zero difference because this is clearly not about basketball. Plus Harden is not super close friends with him and is not in the same age group.
Won't make a difference. ESPN has already said that recruiting isn't going to matter to Lebron's decision. It's really the King and his family.
I'm not saying those reasons dont play a factor either, I'm just saying in the end, he's going to choose the place where he's MOST wanted.
what other players, you want Ryno and Eric Gordon to recruit Lebron to the Rockets?? who are probably going to be packaged and shipped off if we do get Lebron, you want Capela and Ariza to recruit him? They are free agents and might leave. You think Gerald Green and Luc are going to call up Lebron and try to convince him to come to Houston, get out of here.
