I can verify that Popovich was seated at the bar in the Signature Restaurant in San Antonio at 6:00 PM tonight. Leonard wasn't with him. :)

Man I've been saying that forever now.

It don't matter what city you play in, Lebron hasn't even played in a top 10 market his entire career and is one of the most successful players on the planet.

It's not the 70s anymore. The entire NBA is a stage. If Lebron went to the Kings I guarantee you the Kings get Saturday night NBA primetime games.

Any player that goes to LA or NYC for 'marketing' just has bad agents. The reason Kawhi is not marketable is because he's a boring player. He doesn't have anything that really stands out for him and his game is just two pointers and great defense. There is little flash in his game, little attitude, and you can barely get 5 words out of the guy per interview.

Basically the main reason he's not marketable is the main reason Duncan never was.

I think the spurs will not trade until the trade deadline, I think they'll hold on to him due to the nature of the situation and his antics.

According to the hostess, he frequently frequents their bar.

Popovich looks exactly like he does on TV. Hostess was nothing special. I should have taken a picture of my lamb shank.

As a side note... Pacino and DeNiro should have made a few more movies together in their prime. Just saying

More than 1? Sure. I don't think they ever interacted in a movie until Heat. God Father 2 was basically 2 different films and they never interacted. There's a new one coming to Netflix.

Pop should be a b**** and wait for the trade deadline

Besides maybe Durant I've never seen such b****assness from a player but yet I have spurs friends that still support him

I can't see the Spurs trading Kawhi to LA. Still going with Boston.

The NBA has changed so much, since 70s and even mid 2000s. LeBron is one of biggest brands of all time, yet he has spent his entire career in Cleveland and Miami, which are not considered "world" cities. The player's brand is more important than what team they are on, if MJ or Magic suddenly ended up on a team, like the Clippers or Bullets in their primes. The popularity of those two teams would explode exponentially ... over the mainstream media, magazines, social media, and etc. They'd be on national TV almost every other week. If big market team is good or has a franchise player, it helps, but it's not a make or break for a player's career, not like it used to be.

But, I do understand some teams, like Memphis, Utah, or Milwaukee, being the odd ducks out. Because, really alot of players aren't going to be having those cities on the brain. It's still teams, like LA, New York, or etc.
