JR posted a podcast earlier with Windhorst who said no one knows anything at this point and if they say they do they’re lying. Evidently Mav Carter, Rich Paul, and LeBron have told no one anything.
why should they have any loyalty? They live in the other side of the world with nothing relatable to any of the teams' fanbases at all. The league doesn't even care and tries to relate to them. Have you seen any Filipino night? Not to mention when you see the NBA itself destroying teams with long history, it doesn't exactly encourage any team loyalty.
The Filipino hate is pretty classless. We are better than that as a board. What you're observing is how countries and places that do not have a "team" behave, because they are fans of the game and not any particular club . This same thing happens in Puerto Rico, India, pretty much everywhere where most of the games that are broadcast are only from a select handful of teams, and only a handful of players are well known. It's really not that big of a deal. The same things happens in the US where people don't really have a club to root for. Ever see how folks from St. Louis root for basketball? They go for the Kobes, the Lebrons, the Currys. They don't care about the Rockets until the Rockets start winning. That's the rest of the world for you.
cause they are, at least the ones that live in the country, I was born there, but moved to the US before I even turned 1, been a die hard Rockets fan since '90, at least that's the earliest I can remember. I have 2 cousins that were raised there and migrated to NY in the last 2-3 years, surprisingly, they stayed Spurs fans during their 99/03/05 run and hates every bandwagon team the country goes for

I'm not Filipino, nor am I getting butthurt, but I do think calling out an entire country for how they enjoy basketball is basically an outward show of being butthurt that they don't enjoy it the way you do or the way you think is appropriate. I couldn't care less if they are Lebron, or Curry, or Harden fans. Just my own simple observation, feel free to get offended or not.

Exactly. You don't see Tottenham fans whining that Americans just root for Messi, Cristinao Ronaldo, Neymar, etc.. I mean, I don't know **** about soccer, I'll tune in for the World Cup and the occasional Euro Championship. It's kinda fun. Should I apologize to every European I see? That's all I gotta say about people getting whiny about other people's enjoyment of the game. Back to the regularly scheduled @cyberx programming, I hope!
