Not going to pull a guy like that out of our ass overnight. Just give up the Anderson theory he is unplayable this series. The second he comes in the game Curry is playing for the switch and going at him and now you have Curry in a great rhythm full of confidence for the rest of the game. I would like to see them use some of the shotclock to remove Draymond from the paint before attacking. Get him switched onto a perimeter threat and make Durant and Looney be the guy who has to challenge Capela and Harden at the rim.
Ryan is the only one we have available, was thinking maybe Nene can pop from 15, that might help clear.....Capela can play D but he is terrible this series on O. DD
First of all, telling Anderson to "find his shot" is a huge risk, did you see how he played the last 6 mins of garbage time? 0-1 in 6 mins, even if Anderson is "big with range" that doesn't mean he is a good big with range. It's like giving a 5 yr old kid a gun and putting him to war. Secondly what about Anderson's horrible defense? In just 6 mins, Anderson was -9! That means in just 6 mins GSW outscored Houston by 9 pts when Anderson was on the floor, that shows you Anderson is a defensive liability and will cause the Rox to lose. Third, are you putting the season on the line for Anderson? We all know Harden isn't a good defender, and while Gordon tries he also isn't a good defender. If you take out Capela who at least anchors the paint and put Ryan Scrubberson there all the bigs will have a field day, in fact Kerr will probabpy put Green and Zaza Pacheapshot out there to just score on layups. In short your suggestion doesn't really make any sense. Not only does it just take into account just offense without defense, Anderson's offense is also suspect.
To be fair, I think one of those "shots" was Ryan playing hot potato with the ball. "Here, you take. I don't want it."
It's time for you and a lot of other posters to concede that DD was right about DMo/Anderson. There's no way DMo is that bad. And his contract would be coming off the books now/available for year as a large non-guaranteed deal. Not only that but DD would be getting quality minutes against the Warriors. Sticking up for you Dada. You were right in this one.
You're absolutely right. Gotta have a big that can force Draymond to face guard him out top or in the corner, but can then effectively defend the paint on the other end.
It really is amazing how much of a killer Ryno's collapse is for us. I've been saying to my friends that a theoretical player like him would be perfect in this series. However, Ryan Anderson doesn't exist anymore. We are just left with this $20 million headcase.
Horford would have been a great piece. But the we wouldn't have Capela being who is is now. Double edged sword I guess
They just need to stick to their man and not let them get open. Make them drive to the basket and we will win this 100%. It's so easy to beat the dam GSW. Just play hard defense and you can win easy.
I agree....A big who can create his own offense when the 3's aren't falling or when you're playing against a team that defends the perimeter well (Warriors/Celtics) is what the Rockets are missing. Unfortunately that would mean letting Capela walk, but if you could pick up Marc Gasol who is not happy in Memphis and has basically rotted away his career on a middle of the pack team all these years, that would be huge. He's a very good defensive player who has great touch around the rim, can shoot the 3, and plays well against the Warriors. I know he's not getting any younger, but damn, having him work the pick and roll with Harden or Paul would be fun to watch.
Instead of worrying about another person to chuck up 3s - we focus on maybe acquiring guys that can make a layup... lol
Ryno gon' come out tomorrow and hit 8x triples to help get us across the line. In honour of DD's contribution through analysis; Tilman will place DD's bust alongside Hakeem at Toyota Centre...with a bust of DMO in the distance for DD's bust to gaze longingly at.
