Why does the home crowd seem so flat this year?

    Is this my imagination or is it reality? It seems worse this year than any year I can remember.

    Just a few years ago when we went to the WCF, the fans were loud and rowdy.

    What’s the deal? Do the fans think these games are just a formality and they’re waiting for the conference finals? Did they not have enough people doubting the team this year so the fans aren’t emotionally invested in sticking it to the doubters?

    I don’t get it.

    Astros world series win.

    We lost I think 70% of Houston bandwagon fans to the Astros.

    Leslie did very little to develop the next generation of Rockets fans.

    That doesn’t explain why the crowd was a lot better just a couple years ago.

    I will never understand this present Rockets crowd. It will never be the same as the championship years.

    The Rockets collapsed in monumental fashion last year. Deserved or not this James harden era team has the reputation of playoff flakes.

    People act like GSW always had a loud crowd...

    The crowd came after success or at the very least start playing entire games like they give a damn.

    GS has always had a loud crowd, even when they were trash...in the early Steph years when they were garbage the crowd was loud, in 04-05 and 05-06 with Baron Davis before they made the playoffs the crowd was loud

    defense chants were weak af.

    last 2 minutes, nobody was standing up.

    no shouting no nothing.

    worst crowd in the NBA, esp considering we were #1 seed.

    the crowd is still easily the worst in the playoffs whether the Rockets are playing good or bad...the crowd in game 1 was trash too, I was there

    My section (412) was loud and lit.

    Especially after some egregious Tony brothers foul he called on harden for getting tackled.

    I then yelled “Fuuck you Tony Brothers! You piece of shiit!” to a rather silent stadium.

    Getting a response from a guy 5 rows down yell back “yeah! This guy knows what he’s talking about”

    Which then got a response of a vey loud stadium filled “refs you suck!” Chant

    Shout out to the guy 5 rows down.
