That guy just found out he could be a facilitator. That's scary. 11 assist game. Great season for him. Does not bode well for the rest of the league.
Did Harden have 20 ppg and 3.7 apg it in his rookie season? Some players are just further ahead than others. Now of course he might regress but it is not now. Also had multiple games with 7-9 assists during the season. I am positively calm about the fact it is one of the best Rookie Seasons in history.
He facilitates, scores, defends the best player, and moves without the ball.Very fundamentally sound superstar. He's the next big star behind Lebron
Yeah come back in a few years when Mitchell has the burden to carry his team every single night and the opponent's entire defensive gameplan consists of shutting him down with multiple defenders. Now, the league has tape on him. Defenses will scout all his tendencies, mistakes, weaknesses, etc. Donovan is a great rookie, but let's not get carried away. Damian Lillard was a great rookie too until he had to carry a team on his own.
I fully agree with the sentiment but the Playoffs are the toughest stage even for ordinary veterans. He has been very good. Jus saying. Offensively he has been carrying them for half a season. Never said he is locked to reach Harden heights, but he is on a good road. It's funny that people are so high on Dmo and their own players but react negatively on players of other teams.
He's been drafted to a perfect team for him: Utah wanted someone to take the scoring load from departing Hayward. They had all the right role players except an all star scorer. They had the coach and assistant coach who are not afraid to give minutes to a rookie and are great at developing players. That being said, of course none of that would work without talent and hard work from Mitchell. Both things go hand in hand with one another. You could compare this situation, on a smaller scale though, with Capela - he landed on a team that desperately needed the exact type of role player he is now after the departure of Howard. In both cases, it worked out great.
He is more like Dwade with a shot. They are both similar size. I think wade was quicker, but Mitchell is a better shooter.
He looks a little smaller to me compared to Wade. If not the height, maybe in terms of length. But Mitchell definitely plays bigger than he looks.
Out of everyone in the league I'm excited to see the progress of Ben Simmons, Embiid, Giannis, and Mitchell. They all have MVP potential in their future.
