True, but the crowd was too docile tbh.

Then you're saying the Rockets won't benefit at all from a more energized home crowd?

    Ok

If you are any bit of a nba fan, you would see this alone there has been crowds that motivate their players to highest levels to pull out wins. This is like saying there really is no cheese inside the hot dog that makes this thing taste so good, but there really is.

The Rockets have gotten off to great starts on the road without any home court advantage. It’s not the fans fault if the Rockets don’t come out with intensity in a PLAYOFF GAME. THEY have to take responsibility. Quit blaming the fans!

It stems from Harden obviously. Consistent through all the years he’s been here. It was never a problem before that.

The guy is great. But his teams always have this issue.

Light a little fire under Dan Toney’s thin arse.

He's right, we came out way too relaxed. Tucker was the only one with the intensity from the get go along with Harden maybe.

I agree, but enthusiastic crowds can instill fight in the role players. It helped.

I think it got players like Elie, Horry, Derek Fisher making those shots.

MDA better not be another McHale play harder coach behind closed doors, but there have been signs...he’s accountable too. His rotations are not the greatest and like others have said, Gordon over Capela end of the 4th? Come on now

It was mainly a defensive adjustment issue, not an intensity issue.

Mike needs to focus on the X’s and O’s. CP3, Ariza, Clint, PJ, Beard were going hard. Gotta fix the defense and figure out how to get something from the bench.

More than anything, Gordon, Luc, Green and Ryno have been really, REALLY bad. CP3 needs to get with these guys and figure it out. F bench play so far.

    1) The first quarter had nothing to do with adjustments. The Jazz did not do anything special. The Rockets came out with zero energy on the defensive end. They communicated terribly, nobody helped, everybody stood around watching the ball rather than worrying about their responsibility. There were times in the first quarter when they switched the pick and roll and the guy guarding the ball just stood there and let him go right by for the easy layup or dunk. D'Antoni is right, the guys on the court didnt respect the Jazz and it bit them in the ass.

    2) However, when the Warriors won their first Championship they coasted through the first round and then they beat Memphis by 15 in Game 1. They thought it was going to be easy, but Memphis came out and punched them in the mouth in Games 2 and 3 to take a 2-1 series lead. The Warriors then won 3 straight by an average of 17 points. Of course, they also went on to get a ring.

Now I'm not saying this series will go exactly like that, but sometimes great teams really do need a reminder that you can't just turn the switch on.

The crowd has been like this from the beginning of the season, so that is no excuse.

The refs sucked down the stretch but we are too good of a team to let them make a impact. If we play the way we are suppose to we wouldve been 12 to 15 points ahead and the refs would not have mattered. Games like this are going to happen from time to time when you shoot as many threes as we do and they are not falling but there is no excuse to let the same player keep hitting wide open threes.
