I did a search and did not find this thread. I think it is way over due. Ref's suck hard. That is all.
Take responsibility for what? I might be using Gerald Green as my avatar but I hate to break the news to you I am not actually Gerald nor am I on the team.
If I wasn't so lazy I would make a compilation of all the crazy calls the Rockets get screwed over by. I would even include the ones that get missed in our favor. I would love to know what the +/- on that is. But none the less, I am in fact too lazy. Someone should do it for me!
What about when Harden foul baited Ingles and flopped and we got that call? It all evens out. You can’t have it both ways.
Refs are way too soft. Let the teams play! Ridiculous amount of fouls.. I like a bit of scrapping.. Refs are basically controlling the games nowadays. I’ll even put some grief on Harden. His drive to the paint is effective, but boring and cheeky. Refs need to be more lax.
man I wish that 5th Harden foul would show up on the two minute report. Apparently you can't get fined anymore for flopping.
Please don't blame the refs for that horrific defensive effort in the 1st half and the Jazz out executing us in the 4th quarter. Come on, we're better than that as a fanbase.
It all evens out? Just like when both teams had shot 28 threes the Jazz made 13 and we made 8. That's not how life works. You would do great in a statistics class.
And you wouldn't do great in a statistics class. You're comparing apples to oranges when comparing the two teams. I'm comparing the one constant variable: the refs. There tend to be bad calls in every game but every game has bad calls against both teams. The refs didn't cause us to get down by 19 points in the 2nd quarter. That was our own fault. Take responsibility. Blaming the refs is the easy and cowardly way out.
Some things like "momentum" cant be measured by "it all evens out". A missed call here, bad call there can be momentum busters.
Thanks for officially becoming a true Clutchfan. Complain about the empty seats and Harden and you will become a hall-a-fame Clutchfan.
