Was just thinking about how the last time the Rockets played the Twolves in the playoffs was 1997 and the first year that the Twolves had made it to the playoffs. Found highlights of game 2, en Espanol. Great seeing Dream, Drexler, Barkley, Elie, Kevin Willis, Garnett, Gugliotta, Porter and all those other great names from Rox and Twolves history battling it out. Here's to history repeating itself and another great Rockets team beating an up and coming Twolves team!
1997 we lost to Jazz. Even 1996 we lost to Seattle. Next round we will play either Seattle or Utah. I don’t need this again in my life.
I still remember how Barkley gathered KG and Marbury to talk at half court immediately after the series was over, passing the torch so to speak, as a veteran mentoring the up and comers.
We won convincingly, but KG was a handful. It was quite obvious that he had the potential to become a real star. KAT is talented, but he is no KG.
Marbury became a Boss in China. KG hosts a tnt segment, sippin Hennessy n talking mess. Marbury > Garnett (low class nba player) I always wished someone would drill him in the face / knees during a game.
I used to like KG when he was Da Kid. He was fresh, enthusiastic, edgy, hard nosed and free. There was no trolling or trash talking at that time. Unfortunately, all that disappeared with time.
In 1994 and 1995, we beat the Jazz. In 1997, we beat the Sonics. In 2017, we beat the Thunder. It’s all good.
Time for revenge! Would be nice to face the Celtics in the Finals, and then beat them to avenge 1981 and 1986.
