Pelicans will sign Boogie Cousins, then deal him to bottom 5 teams for the first round pick. Pack with Asik or S Hill.
Asik was traded to the Bulls in the Mirotic deal. Hill would probably take away some value in a Cousins trade, not that his contract is horrible but we're almost there, if not actually there...
Who is that one vote for a Pelicans sweep? LOL genius or luck? I did vote Pelicans in 6. People laughed at me.
The most surprising player in this series is Jrue. He can ball, we know that, but he would ALWAYS go hot and cold every second game, consistency (and injuries) were/are his biggest problems. Also Pelicans during regular season would coast so much, watched quite few of their games and they could go up 20 in no time and give up that 20 in no time as well, they have amazing personnel when it comes to defense: AD/Jrue/Rondo, Mirotic can defend pretty well tho, Moore is an amazing shooter. people are shocked that Blazers about to get swept and so i am. I mean, whole Pelicans team stepped up, this is quite rare to be honest.
Nah. I'm good. Just disappointed and embarrassed by my team, and especially the coaching. There's nothing I can say about this series that you guys aren't already thinking. Blazers have **** the bed. #DripCityOutTheyAss
I hope people don't knee jerk over dame too much. Obviously it's been a shocking series for him, but we need to look at this wider picture. The guy is legit. Yes he has his weaknesses (just like our man) but this roster is not optimised to suit his strengths at all. I think if anything this reflects worse on stotts and Portland's GM (forgot his name too drunk). Who is their third best player? Aminu? Nurkic? CJ is not a great fit next to dame when it really matters. To be quite honest this entire situation is reminding me a lot of harden two seasons ago and how down everyone in general got on him. In hindsight it's a ****ing miracle harden did as well as he did with what he had, and i think the same concept applies to Lillard here. Again, I'm not excusing his performance so far, but the roster is pretty garbage imo.
Lillard should get more criticism than Harden when it comes to playoff choking. He's been a multiple first round exit for years and only managed to hit one lucky shot against a Chandler Parsons for a "clutch" reputation. Same guy who thinks he should be on 1st team all-nba and has self-proclaimed, "I'm just as good as Curry". If Harden was embarrassed for 4 games straight in the 1st round of the playoffs, his choking legacy would've been set in stone to non-Rocket fans. CJ is actually similar to Dame in that they both talk a bunch of trash to the media and can't back it up. I'll never forget the classic "no mo layups, not while I'm around" message to CP3.
I wonder if there will be a fire sale in Portland after this series is over. It's almost certain to end in a 4-0 sweep.
AD has too much help. #notmymvp On to Fraudard... NW: Lillard burst onto the scene his first playoff series ever. He shot nearly 50% and hit something that is exceptionally rare in NBA history: a buzzer beater to win a series. A walk-off to win the series against Houston in round one. Since then, that was the 1st round in 2014. Since then, he's played in half a dozen series. He's shooting less than 40% in those series. In this series, he's shooting 33%. Post that first series, his game has not translated the way we'd expect. But hey man, did you see that .9 buzzer beater! Dame clutch! Dame a playoff big baller! Dame Time!
