I wouldn't resign him. I would make a play for Paul George, Kawhi, or Lebron. They're just a good wing player away from actually competing for a ring.
they were just starting to find a groove with Cousins before he went down, they had won 8 of 10 games I think the ball moves better and Jrue plays better without Cousins tho if they had a good wing player they’d be the clear 3rd best team in the West easily

I hope one of the teams looking for a center in free agency throws an offer to Nurkic instead of Capela. If the Blazers choke maybe they'll think twice before matching a big offer on Nurkic...even though they're has set as us so, they've basically nothing to gain in not matching i think, unless that cost them a lot in terms of tax but i don't know now.
Pelvis might give GSW a run for their money. I’m not sure who can handle KD, but their back court plays good defense to help slow Steph and Klay. Think GSW would still win but I wouldn’t want to play the Pelicans right now
When Davis and Cousins played together, they had an elite net rating. Coming off an achillies, I would not give Cousins the max, but I wouldn't let him walk either because AD is the new KG and you do what you can to throw talent around them, they were the 4 seed when cousins went down.
I agree, the problem is i don't think they'll have a real shot at those names...unless they somehow beat the Warriors.
I think AD can handle KD, kinda, and vice versa. Pels have crushed the Blazers P&R based offense, GSW runs the fewest P&Rs in the league though, they would have to adjust.

Cousins probably does make them better but he's redundant with Davis. They could just that cap space for a good wing. If they get far, they could be intriguing destination for George and Lebron who are free agents.

That's the Pelicans biggest weakness. They don't to worry about any good wings on the Blazers but that'll be a huge problem with GS. Durant would go off.
