1. attack aggressively to the paint for lobs/pnrs to open up the defense 2. spreadout & make wide open 3s ISO ball from the leagues 2 best ISO players saves us when either 1 or 2 doesn't work
Garbage offense. Durant and Draymond and Iguadala licking their chops waiting to see how well that will work against them How is there no play to get Gordon open 3's, he's the number 1 or 2 shooter from deep in the NBA standing around all game?? Gained some respect for Harden... Lost a lot of respect for Dantoni tonight
2016 OKC ISO ball in the WCF and 2016 Cavs ISO ball in the finals gave GS the most trouble they’d faced in the playoffs
The rox can probably escape Minnesota playing this way, but OKC will beat us if things don’t change. We can’t expect harden to carry this team to the title with ISO play. Minny is not a good defensive team. Beyond this round there will be nothing but top 10 defenses left
Lol did u watch the game? Almost all 3s tsken by our shooters were wide open. They simply missed them
that beautiful ball movement spurs offense got raped by the warriors. warriors are too long and athletic to play that "over passing" style of offense. the rockets are built to beat the warriors and against the warriors iso ball is your best shot.
Yeah I did, I saw PJ tucker forced to take the threes because everyone else was covered. I saw EG taking threes 6 feet behind the 3 pt line.. I'm usually open from there too I saw zero plays run for a 3pointer, I saw plenty of standing around waiting for Harden to beat 1 or 2 people
No.... as long as it is working... No... but sometimes the Rockets have to get better looks and run plays.
do watch. of the 4 ariza 3 pt attempts, which ones were absolutely forced and ill-advised? and if you're coach of the rockets you never want a 37% 3pt specialist take and instead pass it off or take a different shot like a long 2 or contested layup or drive & make a play??? http://stats.nba.com/events/?flag=3...tRange=0&EndRange=28800§ion=game&sct=plot stop flat out lying that all of pj tuckers were forced and ill advised http://stats.nba.com/events/?flag=3...tRange=0&EndRange=28800§ion=game&sct=plot and guess what, of the 7 3 pt shots gordoin had the one where he was guarded most tightly was the one which went in http://stats.nba.com/events/?flag=3...tRange=0&EndRange=28800§ion=game&sct=plot so stop crying about we didn't do nothing but force ill-advised 3 pt shots.. double teams were attracted byt the superstars handling the ball.. picks and screens were made to open up shooters.. passes were made to open 3 pt shooters.. the shots taken aren't any different from the shots taken en route to a best seed overall.. it just so happened that they missed..
For me it's not about ball movement... It's about not overworking James Harden. We need to be careful, we have the tools to diversify our attack.
there was alot of ball movement the 3 pt shooters just simply didn't make the same kind of open shots they were making all year
that was our only choice our 2nd best playmaker cp3 was playing like ass and our shooters were bricking wide open threes what's your option last night to win aside from simply entirely trusting and depending on harden & capela??
The problem is lack of play calling, I don't mind Harden dribbling the ball for 10-15 seconds IF they have some off the ball movement and set up some plays to get Gordon a 3 off the screen or something.
The Spurs absolutely do not have ball movement these days. They have a slow, high/low post player movement offense with slow unathletic players and shoddy passers.
The reality is, D'Antoni is an overrated clown of a coach whose game plan coming in was to feed Joe Johnson. If he doesn't get fired after an OKC defeat then Morey is even worse than he is.
