That is because we feasted against the Rangers. In the San Diego series all of their starters looked like Cy Young candidates. The announcers kept talking about some game plan they had against our hitters. We just need to settle in and get past the distraction of all of the accolades that come with passing out rings, raising banners, and everything else that comes with winning a World Series. Thank god other than Giles our pitching looks rock solid.
You know he's got good seats. He says he's got an orange Stros jacket on. 1st base side of the catcher, about 5 rows back toward the dugout, maybe?
This bottom third can at least put the ball in play, that's not asking too much. Davis dude, you're killing me.
So you're saying we had one bad series? That doesn't man our offense has been terrible, certainly in a funk at the moment.
If he pushed a bunt to 3rd, there was literally no way he would be thrown out, between his speed and the coldass baseball.
If we don't turn it around we are headed towards 2 bad offensive series in a row. It is early in the year. I just like to see our hitters performing better. There is not a lot of clutch hitting going on for the Stros right now. We have 3 hits and 3 walks in the first 4 innings but have struck out 8 times. Zero clutch hits so far. Don't take it personally. I probably like the Astros more than you do. I just know they are capable of playing much better offensively.
Man I havent seen the Stros as a collective group strike out this much in a couple of years. Hope it calms down some.
