It's not impossible but highly improbable at this point. Essentially we have to become a .500 team or worse the final 11 games to lose the overall #1 seed in the entire league.

Well Toronto just dropped another one.

    To the Cavs.

That's gonna leave a mark on their psyche and brings us closer to pretty much having home court in any possible matchup.

if we go 7 W 4 L or better in our final 11 games, then we will have home court throughout the whole playoffs.
i say once we hit the 7 mark let's rest all our starters

Just need to wrap up 7 wins. Looking real good for us. Raptors dropping one to the Cavs today was huge.

Current as of the games on 3/21

    Western Conference home court

The Rockets have 11 games left and hold the tiebreaker and a 4 game lead, while the Warriors have 11 games left. We are 9-1 in our last 10 games, while the Dubs are 6-4.

    Our remaining schedule...

    8 home, 3 away (1 home and 1 travel back-to-back):

    Pistons
    Pelicans \ back-to-back
    Hawks / back-to-back
    Bulls
    Suns
    @ Spurs
    Wizards
    Blazers
    Thunder
    @ Lakers \ back-to-back
    @ Kings / back-to-back

If the Rox go ____, the Dubs have to go ____ to regain the #1 seed:

    Rox 11 - 0 = Dubs impossible
    Rox 10 - 1 = Dubs impossible
    Rox 9 - 2 = Dubs impossible
    Rox 8 - 3 = Dubs impossible
    Rox 7 - 4 = Dubs impossible
    Rox 6 - 5 = Dubs 11 - 0
    Rox 5 - 5 = Dubs 10 - 1

    Keep in mind:
    1) that KD and Thompson will miss the next 3-4 games.
    2) In the last two months, we are 27-2.

    The Warriors remaining schedule...

6 home, 5 away (2 travel back-to-backs, both with game 2 vs Suns):

    Hawks
    Jazz
    Pacers
    Bucks
    @ Kings \ back-to-back
    Suns / back-to-back
    @ Thunder
    @ Pacers
    Pelicans \ back-to-back
    @ Suns / back-to-back
    @ Jazz

    _____________________________________________________________________________

    Finals home court

The Rockets have 11 games left and a 4.5 game lead, while the Raptors have 10 games left and hold the tiebreaker. Here's the scenario...

If the Rox go ____, the Raptors have to go ____ to regain the #1 seed:

    Rox 11 - 0 = Raptors impossible
    Rox 10 - 1 = Raptors impossible
    Rox 9 - 2 = Raptors impossible
    Rox 8 - 3 = Raptors impossible
    Rox 7 - 4 = Raptors impossible
    Rox 6 - 5 = Raptors 10 - 0
    Rox 5 - 6 = Raptors 9 - 1

    The Raptors remaining schedule...

    6 home, 5 away (2 travel back-to-backs):

    Nets
    Clippers
    Nuggets
    @ Celtics \ back-to-back
    @ Cavs / back-to-back
    Celtics
    Pacers
    Magic \ back-to-back
    @ Pistons / back-to-back
    @ Heat

We are already pretty much guaranteed home court advantage for the first AND second rounds. It's practically impossible for anyone to pass us in the WC, and we'd have a higher seed than all the other teams in the playoffs.

My guess is as soon as the team hits 60 wins if they have the #1 seed locked up they are going into rest mode. Luc was sore last night and Harden's ankle. I am hoping maybe as soon as the Spurs team is when they'll start resting everyone.

I think rockets will have the #1 seed. 66-16, and Warriors wil be 62-20 or 61-21, depending. If the rockets decide to rest some players they could still get the #1 seed easy. 64-18. Way to go houston.

looks like we will lock up HCA throughout the playoffs with enough time to rest our rotation players!

rest will be key for going late into the season.

Rest is nice. But momentum is important too. Not sure the #RestPolice will ever be satisfied. Just know that Harden is playing less minutes this year and the team is playing at a slower pace. So that is "part" of the rest equation.

We should be resting guys heavily at this point - the next 3 games and the last two games.

We have incentive to beat the Spurs and Thunder as knocking either down to the 7th seed gives GS a tough match-up coming off of injuries

definitely don't want them to be rusty going into the playoffs. the balance is to rest/recover from the nagging injuries. if you're 100% then you should play to keep sharp. ideally we will blow out the hawks, bulls, suns so even the guys that play can sit out the 4th quarter.
